I vaguely remembered this so I looked it up on here and it unlocked so many forgotten memories. I played this at my grandmas house when I was probably 7-8. I never could make it very far but I loved trying
This is golden compared to the NES port. The graphics are detailed and colorful, the music is actually listening material compared to the ear-grating nightmare of the same songs on the NES. The only issue? The GAMEPLAY is terrible. Again, significantly improved over the 8-bit counterpart, but extremely off-putting to inexperienced and experienced players alike.
Oh man, I totally forgot I actually had this as a kid... was GARBAGE at it, but I remember getting to the third area once. :P I actually remember fighting the dragon in the mini-game at the start of the game more than the main game.
1st level: an arduous, grueling, uphill battle, wherein you dodge unprovoked attacks while amassing a collection of red flags. Also known as dating past the age of 35.
I remember playing this game as a kid. I've never got the chance to beat the game because of the last level. F THAT LAST LEVEL!!! Overall this is better than the NES game, but still kinda janky.
