+Samittaja yeah your right I'm a hunter and you'd be surprised what a 308 will do to a deer's shoulder. a friend of mine damn near gutted a deer with a 35. whelen round no bullshit
Jack Is Back same like in 3 and 2 where you can see some guys whole face ripped apart in the kill cam but when you go look at them their face looks like they just got a nosebleed
There was Competitive Multiplayer all the way back in the first Sniper elite game. Granted from what I can remember it only had Deathmatch, but it was there.
Just finished the DLC and the main campaign (2x). Really enjoyed the game. I'll probably play some more with some other rifles and pistols. Enjoyed SE3 and this one didn't disappoint. Got to the point where I wasn't using the minimap or aim assist. Really amps up the stealth aspects.
Karl Fairburn's name is a reference to William E. Fairbairn. Who was a British Royal Marine, police officer, progenitor of modern US & UK special forces, and one of the creators of what would eventually become the combatives systems taught in the US and UK militaries.
There are very few franchises that make me want to buy every game they release, but this is one of them. There's just something incredibly fun about it!
Wait since when was sniper elite known for its coop. It was known for its very awesome Sniping. sniper elite 3 had multiplayer and Nazi zombie army was known for its coop
No you're right. I am salty. This game had so much potential. A relatively humble series that could've broken new ground and become a part of WWII shooter history, in the vein of Spec Ops: The Line. But no, it has opted to take the path of CoD and Battlefield. Same shit, different anus.
There was both competitive multiplayer and horde mode in Sniper Elite 3. A bigger map isn't "a new thing you can do" as your title suggests either, it's just a bigger map. So really, it's two things.
Sniper Elite is almost always a guaranteed good time, but the friend I play it with and I have always treated them as budget titles and usually wait for a sale (usually, because the first one was free on XBL or some such). Still, barring some game-breaking glitch that consumes your console in a fiery supernova being discovered, I'll most certainly get it.
Having enjoyed all 3 of the previous games and also having watched several videos of pre-alpha gameplay, I have had no hesitation in buying Sniper Elite 4 on Steam already! :)
When I saw the title, I first though: 1. You can X-ray shoot people. 2. You can X-ray shoot people in balls 3. You can blow up things. 4. You can blow up people. 5. You can use "stealth sniper" style
For your next video you should do top 10 evil protagonists. An example is Salvador from Borderlands 2 who has killed hundreds of people. He has a wanted poster stating that he is a cannibal.
The Survival/Horde mode was in Sniper Elite since V2 guys... Hardly new. Though admittedly, the expansion to 4 players is. That's not really how you frame it though.
It's everybody's own taste what they like in a game and what get excited about in a game and what they don't - for me personally, none of these things sound like an upgrade over the previous installments. But then again, I'm that quaint guy who still likes these games for the single player campaigns and wouldn't touch multiplayer mode with a 10-inch pole, so I guess my opinion automatically sucks :)
I'm def going to buy SE 4. For some reason though, this footage reminds me of the old Commando games. Does anyone remember them on the PC?... they were great *wanders off down memory lane*
game comes on Feb 14? so all us singles at home can have our heart explode (or penetrated by knife/bullet) not only in real life but in a competitive multiplayer too. Sweet
Weird there is no dismemberment from explosions. Guess they would have to create something new in engine for that to happen instead of just copy and pasting the previous installments.
A map thats 100,000m across sounds like it would be really annoying to travel. Was that a mistake or are the maps really 100km wide? That's about the distance from Oxford to London. Not as bad as daggerfall though, eh?
I loved SE3. The most enjoyable online game I've played personally. If it's not broke don't fix it I guess but I do agree with it being a copy and paste and it will eventually get old. A new setting is about the only thing that is different and I think if they want to keep people interested then they will have to do something more. if there is a 5th copy and paste I think I will pass on it but I plan to enjoy SE4 for what it is.
This game needs an achievement called "The Angry Nutter" .... You basically have to kill a significant number of the enemies in the game with nut shots :-)
