SNL: Watch Billie Eilish BREAK in Multiple Sketches 

I think it's funny when people break character. She is just so adorable and so sweet❤

C'mon, who could blame her?... Some of those moments were just hysterical!... Billie did a great job as host. Even the pauses to hold her laugh had an appropriate timing, she didn't affect any of the sketches. The whole episode was very inspired and funny.

Billie and finneas both killed it. But finneas even managed to say "I AM chaos" with a totally straight face". 😅

A perfect snl hosting performance isn’t staying in character in every scene and not missing a line. A perfect snl performance is making the audience laugh. It’s a comedy show. That’s the point and while she really excelled in the acting and singing parts, her cracking up made the night truly perfect. The best skits are always when the actors can’t keep it together but manage to make it through. Billie’s hosting episode is one of my favorites in a long time. She really did a phenomenal job for a novice actor and the Santa skit was incredible. I loved hearing her singing in a different way than she’s used to and she made it funny! One of the best hosts in a while.

Sometimes they “break the character” because it’s also part of the show, so it’s not really easy to see someone genuinely breaking character since most of them are really good actors

The Angelo skit had me laughing hard. I loved hearing them giggle off camera. Thank you for this 😆

I havent watched SNL in ages but kept hearing about Billie breaking character and it being funny so pulled the episode up. I had a theory and wanted to see it in whole rather than all the clips being talked about. The show was funny and she did a great job but one thing stood out tome. Most people still do not realize that Billie has tourettes. It has only been recently that she came out to speak publicly about it. Pretty sure most of those giggles and twiches were not "breaking character" but actually her tourettes flaring up (probably from exhaustion and stress from the live show). I also noticed the great support from the rest of the cast to help distract the viewers while keeping the skits flowing normally. Billie did an amazing job, is such an inspiration and a great example of professionalism under stressful circumstances.

Im old so I really only know Billie from that bad guy song but honestly what a talented young lady. She was a great actress (I really liked her in the holiday card on where she played the high school “friend”) the whole thing was hilarious. She has a bright future ahead of her.

So? She broke character? Some of the best most successful cast members broke character. It makes me laugh when they do because some of the things SNL does are just too outrageous for a normal person. She killed it. I am a huge fan after seeing her in this episode.
