I plow lots much like the first one he did,. I never pile snow at the entrance, around dumpsters or at the front door of the building as you can see it would only take a few passes and all the snow can go to the back lot on the pile, that way you leave no obstacles to block the view of other traffic and its a much cleaner job.......Happy Happy customer.
Keep them coming Spencer. Your videos are really good quality and content. It’s just a matter of time before your catch up to Randy and maybe even surpass him with subscribers...
My bos cheaped out on hiring snow plowers. He bought a new ram 350 plow with salter, your videos is a good teacher for all of us newbies in this trade.. but oh boy i hate my bos🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤬
Instead of reversing you could just pick up the plow and then turn and push the snow the other way. Reversing can be dangerous and constantly going from forward to reverse is hard on the transmission.
One thing to address, when opening entrances be aware not to bury sidewalks. When piling next to the edge of the road you need to be aware of the height of your piles, cars sit much lower than trucks and can’t safely clear them. Nice video overall👍
been operating plows and graders for 25 years, one thing i found out with this new generation of operators is the lack of pride in their workmanship, leaving a small windrow, berms in wrong place, ect., dont know why, rush to get it done, or maybe its the new gen. i still get out with snowshovel once in awhile to touch things up, good video though, good luck in finding operators though, i had several women work for me, they are excellent, cabs clean, once you show them, they learn quick, they never rush a job
Are you kidding? I’ve never had an employee crash a work vehicle in the 8 years I’ve had my own company and the one time I had a woman drive a plow truck she ran into a garage door with the plow. Then I had another one get brine in her eyes. I’ve never had any of my guys do that ever. Luckily we have a construction crew so we were able to replace the garage door ourselves and get some money out of it.
I’m putting a plow on my truck for my own driveway. It’s gravel 300’. I have heard trio edge plows give you headaches on gravel. Do you have any input on trip edge vs full trip?
We have both, I found that trip edge seems to chatter more on pavement. If your only plowing gravel I would like into like a stone guard or something. It’s a round tube that goes on the button of the cutting edge
Some trucks accessories shut off of engine isn’t running after key just on accessories mode after a couple mins probably why the beacon wasn’t working at the time is my guess
Jump n carry. I’m not real picky on brand but I don’t recommend any jump pack that requires it’s own charger. Buy one you can use just an extension cord to plug in and charge
Nice video, but most never want to Plow Snow on both sides of the entrance/exit of a account.. Makes it dangerous for cars exiting the buisness. And most dont want a snowbank right infront of their door. Everything comes away from The building.
