Probably about to hear tons on this air rifle. Umarex just revealed at shot show 2024 they are going to start selling this gun in the US market and rebranding it the “Umarex Zelos”… Its the M60 model with the air tube though for now, but wouldnt doubt it if the bottle version would come next.
I'm really glad that Umarexre rebranding this particular air rifle I hope they do make it in 30 to 35 caliber like other name manufacturer have done. There's a guy that has one in 35. caliber and he made a few videos about it. I know if Umarex is carrying it there's going to be Parts availability for it and that's great news.
@@wannabemgtow2540 parts availability is what im happy about also. Theres no real air gun shops around me, so anything i do with my guns i have to do myself and order parts. It gets kind of annoying when something happens and theres no readily available parts and it takes the slow boat ride from overseas. Luckily this particular one has some parts available from Canada right now, so it isnt a terrible wait but should be good to go once Umarex joins the party
I was one of those FX fan boys drinking the coolaid. I bought the maverick and was very disappointed Just received a new liner for the FX Maverick. Its characteristics are very different than the 4 previous liners so maybe Something good will come of it.

Hi, I've been watching your videos about the Snowpeak m60, it's in .22 but no matter what I do I can't get it past 820fps on a 25-grain.217, and the regulator is set to 150 bar. I thought you must have an idea because you said in one of your videos that you got up to 50 Foot-pound of energy, Mine is stuck and around 33 ft-lb. I bought this gun about 2 months ago and don't want to open up the holes by drilling it, I would be happy if i could get it to like 50 Foot-pound of energy. Thanks for the helpful videos.
I just ordered two of these in .25 cal with 420cc carbon bottles, moderators and the new fill port with adjustable reg for my son and I. Definitely going to drill out the ports and attempt to do the barrel work that part kinda scares me lol. Would love to see more on this like tuning to slugs and see how it shoots off a chronograph and accuracy at distance. Going to try and turn mine in to some nice percision shooters so aftermarket barrel may be my best option I'll see. Did they make the plenum bigger in these newer models you said 35cc i heard others in the past say theirs were 20cc at max?
Cool, I'm sure you're gonna enjoy the rifle. If you run the lighter weight slugs, you don't need to drill out your ports. Definitely need to do your barrel work. I'm gonna post another posting next week with chrono and accuracy test. there's just been too much rain lately. I heard someone else say the Platinum was 20C. C's. I checked mine with c c water volume. Maybe Specification is for a low powered u k Rifle I don't know
@@paulsurbanhunter2457 thanks for the reply I will definitely start with the barrels get them cleaned up and ready for slugs. I had been wondering if we could get an fx stx heavy liner barrel to swap out on being a similar platform. In my looking around I found a shop that offers them with the fx barrel as an upgrade option. So now on the lookout for a used fx impact barrel to try and test fit could be a good option over aftermarket custom as I am not a machinist to get a blank to fit the air rifle. Look forward to the upcoming videos I'll keep an eye out.
There are some videos of some guys in Central America. Or I'm not sure where they are, but they will put the fx barrel in the M60. But me, personally I'm not a fan of the FX barrel tension system. I briefly looked at it because I own FX and the Sleeve is considerably smaller diameter than the. M60 Barrel Me. Personally, I wouldn't change the M60 barrel. I would just do my barrel work. It shoots better than my FX barrel. I wouldn't change a thing.
As far as I understand out of the box, the FX impact comes with 90 FPE and this only comes with 50 FPE. Is this correct? If so, why does the FX have so much more FPE as compared to the Snowpeak? It is cheaper than the FX, but you’re getting a lot less FPE.

First I would make sure you do your barrel work Second I don't know if you're running the 218 but that's what I would run. Third I think your hammer is too tight because, at a 150 bar. I think a 21 grain would be shooting a lot fasir. Good luck
No I haven't done anything with the Pinging sound I favor A tiny bit lighter valve, Spring tension. Over time it doesn't really bother me anymore Comparison to other bullpups it's not bad at all

I just saw your message Polish your Spring washer surfaces and Valve base. You may need to restack your spring washers I'm gonna make another video on some of that stuff.

I just ran into your channel since I've been looking for somebody to actually put a more extensive review on this particular air rifle. Like you said before you can only find information in different languages from different countries. Anyway, for a couple years I've been wanting to get a FX impact or ITR profit style of air rifle in 30 caliber, but always something comes up money-wise a car repair something major breaks in the house a death in the family and nagging wife wants to go vacation so on and so on. Yep so what I'm asking is I know they make this particular air rifle in 30. and 35. caliber do you think this air rifle is good for those caliber? There's a guy that has one in 35 caliber and he almost or does make it up to 100 FPE. I am a tinkerer myself been doing so for years with my 22lr and other small caliber PCP air rifles. Any feedback you could give me would be greatly appreciated thank you.
I feel your pain I was seriously considering the profit but if you take a closer look at that many bullpups if you can grab the rear block and twist it and it's supported by the barrel is a no go in my book I would message Wes he might know if the 30 cal has a bigger valve assembly or Platinum Message Wes I'm not sure
I have the 30 and the 35 the valve in the video appears to be the same this gun is a fantastic gun for the money but the valve is one of its main limiting factors for power the 4-port valve just does not have the power that a single port would make it's next greatest downfall is lack of plenum space there are a few things that you can do about that like adding a plenum extension behind the regulator gauge or deleting the stock regulator and then using a bottle regulator and adding plenum space behind that, though that does require some modification. the 30 caliber has a 24" polygonal barrel FYI mine came with the aluminum bottle which I quickly changed to a 500cc carbon fiber bottle at one point I had a 700cc bottle on it I never had to do any modifications to add larger bottle though it cleared everything just fine so I'm not sure why that had to be done on this particular rifle however it was a little long for my tastes as it reached the end of the moderator so ultimately I opted to switch back to the 500. When mine was completely stock it would consistently shoot Griffin LDC 35 grain .30 cal hollow point slugs at about 960-980fps anything heavier than that suffered in velocity 44 grain pellets shot around 850's which is great for pellets but not so much for most slugs with that said the barrel can be a little ammo picky for the larger caliber models anyway one of the 1st and easiest things I had to do to increase velocities was actually to add a shorter lighter hammer spring (believe me I know this sounds counterintuitive) because I figured out that the hammer weight was actually overpowering the multi-port valve which was making the valve dwell suffer which ultimately slowed things down when I first bought the gun if I increase the hammer spring tension performance got worse until I made that modification. Another easy performance grabber to look for is to make sure that your pellet Pusher is seated properly this gun utilizes a BSA style pusher were the air actually ports through the pellet pusher so if it's misaligned the slightest bit it can seriously cut power down. Anyway I don't want to take up this entire reply space but there are plenty more mods that can be done to it but all in all if you are a tinkerer it's a fantastic gun at a great price I got mine from krale.com and they deliver anywhere in the world as far as I know but I know they deliver to the states and usually within 2-3 days as long as it's ordered before the weekend.
@jeremiahzak8891 It looks like you have a good understanding of the snow peak.Those were the same hurdles I was faced with Valve ! Planom Space. I think the Planum space might work if you just add a bigger valve For the 30 cal .Make a video on You're 30 cal reg / Hamer Adjustments. There's not a whole lot of information on the thirty cal Thanks for your comment Most of the 580 bottles are larger in circumference than the 700 The tungsten bottles are the smallest In diameter in the 580 series it might work Without modifications . West said he can get me a valve assembly. But it might take a while and I was thinking about making modifications to see what kind of power improvements I could make without making Planum changes. Something you might try is lay a tissue over the back of the rifle and shoot it and see if the tissue jumps, you might have a missing or damaged Oring in the barrel and/or the valve body.
