I first heard this song when I was 12. A girl from my school was shot and killed she was also 5 months pregnant. Another victim of gang volience. What makes it even worse is that her mom went into early term labor when she got the news.Cant remember if the child survived or not. This song always makes me tear up and it not because of the lyrics. Its the emotion that I felt was poured into this track. The album version with the late Mr Gearld Levert just makes my heart cry but in a good way. Men at large will always be in my top 5 for best male RnB group.

This song brings up so many memories...my main memory comes from the loss of a high school classmate. He died a day after a car accident, on 3.9.93 at age 17, which was shortly after this song debuted...and whenever it came on the radio, it made us cry. Then, another classmate lost her mom a week before graduation, which was two months after that. Fast forward and after the loss of my big sister, my mom & most recently, one of my favorite big cousins...it's not hard to get lost in the raw emotion of this song.
