The scene with the school children at the Longreach school is significant because this is where QANTAS began in 1920.

I prefer listening to Peter Allen sing this song. It means more to me hearing him sing than an ad for an airline.

Believe it or not this version of the song was an Ad for an airline. I still reckon the earlier version of the Ad is better with just the kids choir, but the song brings tears to eyes of people who aren't even Aussie.
