That sounds so talented. In 1995 I heard Secret Garden song "Nocturne" playing on the radio for the first time and I was blown away. Then the announcer said it was Norway's Eurovision entry that night. I knew it would win even though I heard none of the other songs. I went straight to the bookies and put 30 quid on it at 7 to 1 and it stormed away with the contest.

Just a few weeks after this was number 1 (for four weeks),I predicted correctly that Pass the Dutchie by Musical Youth would go to number 1! In between we had Fame by Irene Cara and then Eye of the Tiger by Survivor at the top. When I was a teen (US, 70's) you used to be able to mail order all manner of amphetamine look a like pills, 100's in a bottle. We'd sell them as real pharma pills and make a tidy profit. Come on Eileen Poor old Johnny Ray Sounded sad upon the radio Moved a million hearts in mono Our mothers cried Sang along, who'd blame them? You're grown (you're grown up) So grown (so grown up) Now I must say more than ever (Come on Eileen) Toora loora toora loo rye ay And we can sing just like our fathers Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means At this moment, you mean everything You in that dress, my thoughts I confess Verge on dirty, ah, come on Eileen Come on Eileen These people round here Wear beatdown eyes sunk in smoke dried face So resigned to what their fate is But not us (no never) No not us (no never) We are far too young and clever Toora loora, toora loo rye ay Eileen, I'll hum this tune forever Come on Eileen, oh I swear (what he means) Ah come on let's, take off everything Pretty red dress, Eileen, tell him yes Ah come on let's, ah, come on Eileen That pretty red dress, Eileen, tell him yes Ah, come on let's, ah come on Eileen, please Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Now you have grown, and now you have shown Oh, Eileen Said Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Now I must say more than ever Things round here change I said, toora loora, toora loo rye ay Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means At this moment, you mean everything You in that dress, my thoughts I confess Verge on dirty, ah come on Eileen Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means At this moment, you mean everything In that dress, oh my thoughts, I confess Well, they're dirty, come on Eileen Come on Eileen

This song is based on a true story. Eileen was a girl Kevin Rowland (singer) grew up with. Rowland was brought up Catholic were sex and such was dirty and forbidden. When he wrote this song, he was expressing how he felt about Eileen, his first sexual relationship and being free from the strict binds of the Catholic church. "You in that dress, my thoughts I confess, verge on dirty" The song describes the thin line between love and lust.

"Dexy's" is short for a drug called Dexedrine. It's basically speed and gave people the energy to party, or run all night. So "Dexy's Midnight Runners" There was a popular weight loss drug sold on TV called "Dexatrim" that eventually was pulled off the market because it was abuse so much.

You want banjo? Check out Steve N' Seagulls cover of AC/DC's "Thunderstruck." And you skipped the intro again! Lol. You've done this a few times where you don't have the song queued up to the very beginning and you miss the first few seconds. Sometimes that can be an important part of the song. Just a heads up. Great channel otherwise.

It was more than a few seconds. It's missing a full 1 minute and 26 seconds. I found the video elsewhere and timed it. The whole intro and first verse is missing, as this video was cut straight to the chorus. That's not their fault, the video they used was not complete.

The person who posted the video they watched cut out the first minute of it. They even wrote in their video description "I had to cut the first minute of the music video for copyright reasons." Jay's never heard the song before and Amber likely hasn't listened to it since her band days, so I think they just didn't realize.
