So I FINALLY tried Saints Row 2 

Bad reviews are probably Die hard fans GTA who dislikes Saints row games fromthe beginning.. and Always thought The open world game are just for GTA.

Saints Row 1 was a bit too rough to really suggest to anyone. 2 and up, hell yes play these games ASAP! 3 is still my personal favorite, and even the "side game" Gat out of Hell is more than worth playing and has dozens of hours of content in it.

The first one would need a full overhaul. It was fun for it's time but it aged like milk.

Ikr.. First was my favorite, Saints row 2 i also enjoyed alot.. Then it was just downhill from there imo

@@fearthislyricist5259 for me its sr2 that was my favorite. I always believed it was prime saints. Perfect balance of serious and wacky. After 2 it just went down the hill of purple dido bats. Still very much enjoy sr1.

@@bradknightable Yeah i can totally get behind that too, The only thing i liked more about the first. Its was more of a serious tone and i was just a fan of that. But i definitely love saints 2 as well, Dumped more hours than I'd like to admit into it tbh 🤣 Edit: Yeah, Them purple dildo bats were whack tho lmao!

It may if Violition and THQ Nordic can take the risk since the original code for SR2 is broken to shit

This and Saints Row 1 there alot of bugs to be fixed

They are rebooting the series. The first is coming out in February.

@@ironicugandan5826 reboot looks pretty bad though, the story and characters at least look god awful so far

the different fighting styles were really cool and the gang customization was so immersive, just riding in my car with three guys driving into ronin territory and do quick drive bys. plus the music was good

my favorite part was seeing how long I can survive in max police bar

@@tonyluong6732 Drive by just getting harder when you reach lvl 7 the enemies gangs starting carrying RPG the only way to survive is.. Kill them with Satchel charge quickly since their aim are so bad and sometimes are good with their RPG.

Yeah and The Saints crew can mugging itself for a few hours if you own the store that has Some Saints member guarding inside,Pedestrian more attracted with Female boss.. and say Women with a guns was badass.

And da most underrated video game of all time

When i'm sad and need some relaxing games that can make me cheerful again.. SR2 are the best choice.. i can stare at my character everyday to see her/his Drunk drinking 40oz,Telling some word in idle animation about how she wanted Shaundi cut her Dread,Dane and her will not getting along and Listening my character Sing along after that Ubisoft Imitate this for their Far cry6 games.

Same with the first for me

People say you don’t need to play 2 or 1 before 3 or 4, but after playing 2 I realized how little sense 3 and 4 make without it, and while SR1 isn’t important, 2 is really important to understand anything. It’s also a great game and still holds up, while (from what I’ve heard and see) 1 doesn’t as much.

@@Serrifin SR1 cannot be modded too much like SR2 did.. but i really like SR1 was you can steal the locker store in the back.. in SR2 only The cashier can Open it if you mugging them.

@@Serrifin you hit the nail on the head. Even if you’re a fan of 3 and 4, you have to admit that they make no sense when you consider the series as a whole. SR3 is like if Starwars episode 10 was set in Detroit with regular weapons, it literally doesnt make since for that to happen all of the sudden.

it's def the best story wise. all it needs is a little polish to the game play and bam . but also I loved the powers in 4, I wish they'd make a spinoff game about superhearos in the Saints row universe. or make an open world superhero game with the same engine and feel

Yes i figured out too.. you can Hijack one of civillians Cars by equip some guns and SMG.. This only work sometimes if you keep aim the vehicles in the red circle while before Hijack it Playa will start shooting civillian Head and then steal it.. that was the best thing i discovered up right now in SR2

Everyone prefered sr2 over gta 4. Anyone that says otherwise, never played both. Even sr2's multiplayer was more fun than gta 4.

@@carsondinwoodie5840 What can i say,. In GTA series you cannot customize your character.. can't even play as the chick with some boobs.. SR2 was fun because have female gender even if you can't decrease/increase the bust.. that boobs still looks not right for my character 🥴.. but its alright more fun and entertaining for me😳😳.. enemies are more challenged/Because can carrying RPG sometimes make your heart beat go fast.. luckily their aim are bad not as good as SR1 Enemies who carrying RPG are smart when you chase Hector in the Airport.. Female gender boss always funny more than male boss.. And everyone in Stilwater likes you and assume you as like their kids,Daughter,Having an affair with them,Remind them with their girfriend,their Wife when still younger,The female saints crew ask you if they can call you as their sister because Some Female crew Remind the boss with their sister. For the bad things they always call you B*tch,Slut and Hoes when Pimp dislike you because you trying to start fighting with them.

GTA only focused on realistic and lacked fun for me.. while its been a years they still didn't add new feature like taking hostage 🥴.. i hate when you are forced to do Auto assist aim in GTA.. but that was optional right.

I can't agree more as the player of GTA games i agreed 100%.. its about facial expression they introduce us and i'm addicted to this game.. that facial expression just made SR2 just gotten better than GTA IV

GTA4 was a real work of art in open world at the time, but in terms of fun,although I never played Saints 2, It seems like a blast to play. Time to look at steam sales. PS: Currently 2 bucks at humble.

@@MiguelBaptista1981 I'd highly recommend it. It's wacky and funny, but surprisingly enough the story is actually pretty good too. Takes up where first left off, but you don't really need the first to get what's happening.

@@ryno2376 I feel that was gimmicky, GTA 4 did it too but I never found myself in situations where I would rather throw something rather than use a gun, it feels like the games just punish you for doing that. SR4 did it well with telekenesis tho.

If it got mixed reviews on steam it’s probably bc of all the bugs on PC but if does in general it’s just a bunch of GTA fans boys. All the OG Saints Row enjoyers know it was a great game with a cool story behind it. I got so much memories with Saints Row one of my favorite games of all time. I wish it could make a comeback but they just don’t want to drop the goofy shit they have nowadays

@@zeeshaanzalgaonkir1461 The times were different I guess. Nowadays this game has more content than half the crap developers release in 2022/23. This game has truly stood the test of time. Btw I grew up with GTA and tried Saints Row 2 a couple of months ago.

@@blakecooper669 not really in the second one, it had event like escort, insurance fraud, and you put a chick in the trunk of a car during a monster truck rally. The first one was a more serious tone but still not over fleshed out like GTA

@@williambigbills-9665 Those were minigames. They had nothing to do with the main story. Besides, the person you drove around in the trunk of a monster truck was the girlfriend of the guy who killed carlos.

Yess in PC we got shaundi choker, And accesories for the neck also including in there thanks for the modders.. i remember they have free 2 dlc too right.. and Can choose the snowy weather to make the games more Interesting,and More satisfied you.. SR2 the only SR2 you can sit in the passenger seats like a true boss when you triggered some crew out of the car then you enter The car with them at the same time.. and let them drive around the town(I always shooting the road with McMagnus so i can hear my Female boss Complain when the Crew bumped into some things near them and destroyed his/her car 🤣🤭) I find it looks really great when Volition Makes you think you have to figure out alone by yourself to make that happen.. even GTA SA cannot do this so sad :(.

@@YZY_Fox21 Yeah.. I think I see what you're on about. I'm sorry, it was kinda difficult to read all of that but I believe I understand what you mean. Lots of good times and memories with this game, along with some great mods to make the gameplay insane. PC version definitely has its good stuff. And yeah I agree about that with GTA SA. That's what helped Saints Row stand out.

Because that was my discovery in this game and i find it looks amazing.. yeah PC version it looks good and can modded the graphic.. that also Affect to your character Graphic design to more HD.. there's so much fun some thing i have to discover in this game..

@@YZY_Fox21 Yeah, I'd feel bad if I couldn't understand you. And yeah, I'm sure there are secrets in the game that's yet to be discovered. It took years for a couple myths to be confirmed like the Mr. Freezer bug or something like that, including the whale man myth thing. And with modding, there's a lot more potential. Like that one huge mod where you play as the Masako, that Ultor Private Police/Army.

@@TheGravityShifter also In the night day you can find and hear some Voice inside building you can't enter it looks so unique.. Yeah with Ultor mods you can even fight with The Saints gang and your opponent will be Johnny Gat, and His crew.. in Kanto connection right even you will having a hard way to get up because Saints crew are more brutal, not let their opponent get up after knocked out to the ground.

The first 2 games were garbage trash GTA clones made so that little jimmy could get mommy to buy him a GTA clone since she generally wouldn't buy him GTA. Atleast 3 and 4 tried to be something other than a garbage GTA clone and tried to do their own thing..Even then the word "masterpiece" would never be associated with Saints Row anything, unless you were 12 when they came out.

Agreed. Stillwater 2 was the better map.

Saints Row 2 was absolute peak. I wise they focused on using the talent they have to remaking this than trying to reboot

Fr SR2 even can let you sit in the passenger seats with your Saints crew and let them drive around in stilwater while you just sits and enjoying the View while your crew driving around the town... To get that happened always let my Saints crew with Vehicles come out first while i take the bait starting fight with some people.. after i killed the pedestrian.. i trying to enter the car together and then.. Ta-daaa.. Now you can Sit well in the car like a true boss and Watch your crew driving around in stilwater.
