Can it really be called a build if it's moonveil? I mean that thing is so overpowered it's ridiculous. If FS weren't awful with nerfing stuff, I'd recommend they fix it.

@Jinxed Swashbuckler the problem is that it’s literally a better version of the Uchikatana weapon art. It’s just as fast but does about twice as much damage. A good way to balence it would be to make it slower to counteract its projectile and higher damage.

My first invasion in Elden Ring I beat a gold phantom one on one and then fought the host. Host was weak and ran away to summon the same guy I beat before and they ganked me. My second invasion was an insufferable gank from the start with two magic users and a samurai build. They were getting their ass beat one on one but they just swarmed me. When I died they teabagged like the degenerates that they are.

@@Go-qi4oq the act man's helm is sold by one of the nomad merchants, the friendly opponent at the end got his mask from defeating a samurai invader in the mountain of giants, snowy area, in front of a church.

Some things make invading at higher levels impossible unfortunately

@@soulofcinder2007 I agree but we'll see. It's early. There will be tweaks and patches from the devs and the players will find meta builds. Who knows what it will turn into down the road. It has a lot of potential; especially in the open world areas. Getting invaded while fighting a dragon or giant bear makes for some great moments. I can see doing dried finger runs (or whatever it's called now) being pretty exciting. But now, an invasion is basically a guaranteed 1v3. I mean, it's 1v2 by design but the white ring pretty much guarantees a blue will show up too.

To be fair, some of us cooperators want nothing to do with invasions. I for one don't mind at all that my buddy and I can take care of an invader together need be. They're the ones making the choice to invade and so therefore they deserve no quarter.

@@The_Babe I guess making the game super easy is fun for a while but I think the invasion mechanic adds a dynamic level of difficulty that is important to maintaining longevity even after mastering the game.

Halo Scythe is a good range option, the weapon art is amazing for catching those pesky runners and it has the ability to reach through an enemy block with its regular attacks. Although it is a bit slower that the katana, of course you could just have both

I remember on my 1st invasion I parried the dude 2 times and both times when I went for the riposte/critical it dealt no damage. So yeah something is up with really close range attacks.

Idk if people in general do it, but the beach before the radahn fight is a good arena and I've been summoned to it once or twice for pvp

moonveil also got insane range with unsheath, so even at a "safe" distance isn't safe.

I'd say "wait for the first patch", but we already know FromSoft doesn't update their games until the first DLC drop. So we're going to have to deal with that garbage for a long time. Remember release day bleed builds for DS3? From ended up nerfing that into the ground, but many months later.

I think they need a proper PVP system where you go into arena and look for fights either solo or team.

Yes, if you want to give fromsoftware games a try then Elden Ring is the best entry point. If you get into trouble you can always choose to explore more elsewhere to get stronger. I will say that the pc port is in a sorry state whent it comes to performance and stability. Regardless I've pumped over 60 hours into the game already.
