He has to, he has no Real Job besides "Content Creating". So he needs to Hype everybody up, so they'll Click his Videos. Same Asmon and other will do. Then the Game releases and everybody sees What the Game really is. One to two Months later, game dead Again.
Yep. I got kinda furious when I saw T&E episode title. And I watched Tali explaining how it's not really a spoiler, because blizzard doesn't hide it... But I didn't know alpha news will drop today, so even if I wanted to avoid spoilers like that I was robbed of the choice simply by going to youtube frontpage. And I don't even subscribe to their channel!
SWTOR actually had seamless solo instances for players back in like 2012 when they launched. The class quests often took you into solo instances of buildings, caves, etc. The flashpoints (their dungeons) did have loading screens, though.
I really hate leveling difficulty being little more than sleep walking through the content. If Blizzard wants to make leveling more than a pointless introductary time sinc, they need to make leveling a serious gaming experience.
base leveling content should feel like a friendly pick up game with your mates, not the deciding game of the NBA finals. its sad when the average wow cries when its not the championship game 24/7. that gets exceedingly more tiresome quicker than "sleep walk content".
When you have people in quest greens, and others in heroic/mythic raid gear that is 100 ilvls higher, I don't see how that would be possible unless they put gear scaling back into the open world.
I loved that they are adding solo que BGs, Devs have said over years, that making Arenas was their biggest regret, due to being so hard to balance over each season.
I really want war bands to one day function in the similar way that the NPC follower dungeons currently function. In that, it would be nice to be able to group my own characters together into a party and have the NPC AI drive the other four characters during things like delves and five-man dungeons. I also hope that it’s useful from a leveling standpoint. For instance, it would be really cool to be able to create five characters in one go, and then level all five of them from level one to the cap all the way through, and even cooler, to be able to hot swap between them in-game seamlessly. Ultimately, I think war bands is the thing with the most potential.
I like everything except the " For instance, it would be really cool to be able to create five characters in one go, and then level all five of them from level one to the cap all the way through".
I wish Blizz did this for leveling: Replace all "kill X" quest with "collect X" quest WHILE adding harder mobs that drop more quest items than regular mobs. This makes sure casuals can faceroll as they do while others can get a shortcut that's actually challenging.
wish they would test privately and release the game to us blind, it would be so much more exiting to play a game not knowing every detail of what to do and how to do it before it even comes out.
Looking forward to this. Dragonflight wasn’t bad (a huge step up from shadowlands) but something just didn’t grab me and I left after reaching max level.
@@wm1573 Maybe some solo challenges akin to Mage Tower and Horrific Visions? Or something actually interesting to do outside of raiding and M+? All the outdoor content they've added is impossible-to-fail garbage. Don't tell me you feel a sense of fulfilment after doing world quests. Hopefully delves will be great. Looking forward to that.
@@thatepicwizardguy After doing raids for several expansions, they don't feel innovative at all anymore. It's always the same types of mechanics presented in a different way. I've always hated M+. The timer is stupid. The challenge should be just to clear the dungeon. Why should there be a rush? The "open world junk" is just junk, that's why it's not fun.
"Definitely feels like walking through a fog door in dark souls, it feels slick" *Shows footage of the Enter button not working multiple times, then frame lag as it opens* Dont worry though, I KNOW it's a testing phase, I just find it funny.
I actually really liked dragonflight and it was nice to get a more calmer expansion. I thought it was really well done and just what wow needed, and now I'm excited for war within!
? Dragonflight was widely seen as a good expansion with the weak point being purely storytelling being kinda disney weak but everything else being pretty good to super great...
It’s the normal cycle. I think Bliz marketing has a tighter leash on these guys now. That’s why they didn’t point out as many of the flaws of DF. Now the big RU-vid folks get access as long as they are good boys and girls.
@@gwilly4744 correct. However, you would think these creators would learn that it hurts their credibility as well if they keep doing it. Which may not matter in the short term, it will in the long.
I sort of wished WoW had adopted the GW2 WvW system but for horde vs alliance, or whatever they would want to do now. An often active map that lets you get solid rewards and plays in a large group with objectives.
ESO has a similar system to delves. In ESO delves are called delves and they function exactly like WoW delves except ESO delves have been in ESO for 10 years.
ESO delves are literally just public instances with a single boss at the end. You enter the delve, just mindlessly rush to boss, get the kill and get out. Sometime they involve a single quest, but that's it. Don't compare it to what WoW has introduced.
I hope delves works out. Sometimes I'm tired and solo old raids or dungeons. This would be wonderful for the game. And like he said, good for testing your character, other than only dungeons.
I honestly enjoyed DF, and this is coming from a very pessimistic WoW player. I thought it was a step in the right direction and from what I've heard TWW is the next iteration of that step. I think the delves are very cool, and the art team is pulling weight once again. Plus the war-band mechanic seem like a great idea, and that updated character screen is a fantastic little edition. I really hope they don't fumble this. I want to enjoy retail again.
Tonally correct (feels like WarCraft), with follow through (no random red herrings that mean nothing). The story could be the most standard RPG story-been-told ever. If it's on tone and there is follow through, it's good enough. Shouldn't be asking for just "good enough" but here we are. Edit: I really hope Delves don't end up just being "more numbers" as they increase in difficulty. That is SO boring. They already have stuff like M+ affixes, just expand on that idea (please don't implement affixes into delves). Plunderstorm is a good thing to take inspiration from - skillshots and things you can avoid or interact with.
The “Character” he speaks of at the start is Mankrik. He just got remarried after finally finding love again all these years later. He is allergic to one of the ingredients in his wedding cake and kicks the bucket :(
We dont need new zones, we need old zones reworked and useable again. Why not make Stratholme a thing again? like neutral (dalaran like) city in completly reworked (time and previous expansions touched) Eastern kingdoms. Or something like that....
I was excited for Dragonflight to get away from Shadowlands, and then very impressed by a lot of the QoL changes to the core game and now that has reinvigorated my excitement to see War Within
Horrific visions were a GREAT model. More peoole=more enemy health= CAN avoid super punishing mechanics, even using cheater add-ons that mark everything for you, it was still Challenging AF if you chose it to be
Oh my god why is the algorithm doing this to me. I quit WoW long ago, but for some reason War Within videos started to pop up for me and IM STARTING TO MISS MY OUTLAW ROGUE GAMEPLAY DAMN ITTTTTTTTT
Stopped playing wow after a few months of dragonflight. I will be playing this expansion as I always do but I just hope they are able to keep me playing. Feels like the expansions start off good but I just end up losing interest. Same thing with every expansion. Legion was the last expansion I really enjoyed.
@@elliekim6666 it was a rainbow expansion where you fought a bunch of things we never heard of and made no sense at all, also, another new area that is instanced taking us farther from our world again, the only good thing about it was talents, otherwise, the same crap as always only more disney
I’m feeling pretty optimistic about TWW. I dropped off at MoP, came back for the second half of DF. As a classic wow prodigal I think it’s important to remember that it’s hard as hell to keep a game alive this long. I’m no blizzard Stan by any means but I’m looking forward to seeing this next step forward
My biggest hope for Warbands is that we can use our alts for the follower dungeons. I am finding the more info I heard about Delves the more I am liking them. I thought Choregast was going to be THE thing from Shadowlands and ended up hating them. I haven't felt this excited for an expansion since Legion
"Unavoidable damage can be a big problem" YOU as a voice for WoW really need to help put this message out there!!! The last few expacs have ruined it for healer with all the constant rot damage and random damage that you can not avoid.
Good lord, they better have a lot more in mind for those Delve tiers than flatly dialing up the health sponges and gear requirements. WoW needs to do away with all the conveyor belt gated content where your gear is your only form of progression. Like you said, there should be content and fights that challenge us to use our full kit of skills and talents. It should teach us how to play our characters and alts better. Not having to communicate and coordinate with a group of strangers already makes solo content much easier than normal dungeon content. They need to balance that solo content with a steep learning curve that isn't based on RNG.
I truly believe that Dragonflight will go down as possibly the most important expansion ever. Not the best, not the most fun, not the best story, but simply the most important because it gave them a total reset point to work off of.
This looks like it will be the best expansion ever. I love PvP and primarly doing BGs, mostly solo queing... we have been starving for more of them for years. So excited about seeing new BGs AND never having to go into a dungeon again. Had 16 max level toons for most of DF and NEVER entered a single dungeon! Hope I don't have too in the new expansion.
Delves look really fun and hopefully bridge the gap between people who enjoy doing solo/world content with those that prefer to do group content like raiding and M+. Myself for instance I feel comfortable doing harder tier content but I don't enjoy everything involved with doing so with a group of players.
Back in the day I used to play battlegrounds all the time but had no interest in arena. These days I don't really see the point as everything in the game really pushes players to play arena and get rating/conquest. Having the gatekeeping of premade teams for rated BG's just puts me off, so solo queue sounds way better.
The Delves should also reward M+ like rewards like the possibility for mythic track gear in the vault. They really shouldn't limit it if they're serious about it as end-game. Just make that tier of it more challenging on par with M+ that provides myth track in the vault.
The salt and sugar analogy is great. This is exactly how I felt about Dragonflight and I thought it's just a me-problem. The mechanics are good, dragon riding is awesome. But I stopped playing after reaching max-level. Setting and story just weren't doing it for me.
Right??? Feels like an impending reality for WoW. Best part of all, almost all races have npcs in the game that are full fledged tinkers already. So I can’t imagine anyone not being able to be it (besides maybe some of the more nature/druidic races) Gimme that Torbjorn, GW2 Engineer, HotS Gazlowe, mekkatoraque exo suit type gameplay!! Anyone who thinks “we already have engineering” is sorely lacking creativity. Warlocks and Demon Hunters co-exist, as does the Enchanting profession and Mages 😂
regardless of the "vibe" of df, it was a much needed palette cleanser after the bitter taste of sl. i know i needed that expansion badly or i wouldn't even be here, looking forward to tww. i hope this is the start of a heck of a ride.
@@antvn222 well, see, that's why it's my opinion and not yours. just like how we don't share one a$$hole between the population of the planet, we don't share one brain. let people have their opinions, yeah? hope you have the day you deserve.
I'm really concerned with the alliance bias that appears to be permeating out of TWW. Magni, anduin, jania, maybe khadgar... I haven't heard anything horde themed Dragon flight also struck me as heavy alliance bias. Green Flight and dream necessitated Night Elf's stories with Tyronde and Malfurion. Tyrs quests had a lorderon pally feel and kalecs quests teamed him with khadgar. I dont hate the alliance. I just feel strange when my big tauren is in a cutscenes with alliance characters . TWW obviously is going to be heavily dwarf focused with the Earthen and the humans of Arator. Where is the horse gonna fit in.
I feel like the biggest issue with Alpha/Beta testing is that they are just glorified Bug tests. This is why in the past feedback about features and gameplay systems goes largely ignored. BUG testing should be mostly done internally with PAID testers. Because people who are getting paid will be more aggressive in finding bugs. Alpha/Beta testing SHOULD be about collecting feedback and weighing it out. I'm not saying that everything should be up for debate feature wise. but if the vast majority of people are saying a system sucks then they should delay things and make some changes.
I know we talk a bit down on Dragonflight about it's story beats but I also think we forget where we were coming from. We had just slogged through the end of Shadowlands. It was bleak and we were exhausted. For any faults DF might have, I think we needed it. We needed some hope and color and light heartedness again just to cleanse Shadowlands. With that said I do hope we get a good balance in War Within. I am all for gritty, but please keep our character hopeful. I can see Anduin is going to be emo, there must be foils to him that keep the light of heroes going.
as a professional WoW hater, WoW-WW might bring WoW back. I still want to see raid and M+ changes as those are my main drugs in the game, but so far everything showed in this video is massive Ws all around
I do like that collectively people are kinda sick of sweaty try hards ruining any game they touch. Also... war within is the galactus storyline for WOW?
Why they even bother putting a health bar to care about? It does never goes down. There is instant free healing coming out every second. What is this single play experience, looks like it does not challenge anything.
I think we need War Within to start out feeling like we just can’t win in the story, but micro victories. Then end the expansion with us winning by one mere instant yet extremely hard choice, but only with an expendable! 🤣
No even archimonde powerful enchantments destroyed like that Dalaran it left a lot of debris and even houses but that attack by xalatah destroyed all Dalaran by magic explosion ? I don’t think so it seems the tower of center and prison get destroyed in order to avoid get attacked by the enemies and prisoners khagar may use his magic to destroy it and the rest of Dalaran were teleported to the void realm a magic of xalatah to torture them
I'm seriously hoping they DON'T up the difficulty by adding fast-response game play elements. Unless they add servers in my country. Fast response with 180ms is painful.
