So humble of zain to lose on purpose and alter his memories to convince himself that he was trying the whole time. Also threatening to kill all of PPMD's extended family if he spoke about the marth ditto was a great touch to make PP seem as respectable as possible. Truly the actions of the GOAT right there.
Ha! PPMD said he went Falco against you the whole time and you did better than him - it's on his new youtube video about his "Genesis 8" experience where you GG guys met up. Got to respect the man. 3-stocks the best Marth in the world, arguably best player in the world, and doesn't mention it once. Plays it down and says Zain won. What a humble legend. Here's hoping PPMD comes back one day - if he wants to and if he's ready. And good luck at Pound this weekend, Zain.
Thank you zain for losing to pp, holding him at gunpoint and telling him to never speak of the Marth ditto game ever again. You refrain the best Marth status, he retains his humility. Everyone wins 🤝
he's literally a revolutionary, changed the meta of the game. Before PP Marth vs Sheik, Falco vs Jiggs, and Marth vs Peach were considered impossible pretty much.
Marth vs Peach was considered impossible...he just made it a pain in the ass for Armada in that matchup, in ways where M2K didn't always execute in neutral
A couple months ago PP matched with Cody on slippi and neither of them knew who each other were. Once they realized they were playing someone good they actually put forth some effort and PP won.
PP knew he was playing Cody, it was only Cody who didn't know he was playing PP. On PP's video, you can see him make a very surprised face when he sees that he watches into Cody
Zain's #1 in the World and The GOAT Marth imo, but PP's Marth was my favourite Marth back in the 'Five Gods' Era and it still is today; his Marth was the best in the ditto and would pick apart any Marth in the neutral. It would be so dope if PP can one day return to competing in Melee.
On Stream PP just said he went falco to "see how strong you were" and didn't mention it PP doesnt SEEM the type to switch off to hold the win ratio and brag, but the win happened and now you just gotta hold it, no matter the intention that's hilarious
@@peppers1616 Yeah, if it wasn't a thing Zain wouldn't be making a video about it. It's definitely a thing, and both PP and Zain been playing Melee long enough to know it.
@@osirisra1476 I feel like Zain would've made a video on it either way. First off, he's streaming, and the more important one, everyone wants to know how PPMD vs Zain went, if Armada and Zain played, people would be curious on how it went
@@Michael-hc2hp Did you intentionally miss the point? Zain emphasized multiple times that PP won Game 1 and then went Falco. It wasn't just some innocuous, "Oh, I played PP, here's how it went."
It's cool hearing from new-school gods Cody and Zain that all PP needs to do is update his game for the modern meta, because he still has top-level fundamentals. Obviously that's way easier said than done but still it means a lot coming from those 2
PP is one of those players who you can never count out no matter how long he's been away. You never know when he's just gonna show up and dominate a major after spending a year secretly preparing. I think he switched away from Marth so you can't prepare for the ditto lol
It’s, the doctor. You know he still has the fundamentals to do it, its “does he have the want” he has chosen to not compete because he feels as though he can’t match what the community has turned him into. Strength and peace to him.
I feel like once he got that win it was a personal thing a simple "I'm still good" so he swapped to keep that win to himself. Hopefully that makes sense. Anyways I hope PP makes a return to compete at some point but if not then whatever I'm just glad he's doing good.
pp said about switching to falco, he felt like it was the best way to learn from his matches with zain. he wanted to feel how strong zain was against spacies instead of in the marth ditto.
Not to come off a know it all, but this isn't shocking to me. I only say this because he played friendlies with iBDW not too long ago and was keeping up with him. The man has still got it.
