@@speakwithonevoice636 She's not a delight to watch because she has poor people skills? Do you even know her? Or are you just upset that she's not a tall leggy blonde?
I don’t think it’s to good for Canada. It’s just a shame that she doesn’t represent Romania. But it doesn’t matter, we know anyway that we will be proud of her whatever country she represents. And soon all of the world!
Wow ... full of emotions.. loved it .... we don't want beauty contest and models like Genie Bouchard ... we want real fighters like Andreescu .. if tomorrow she beats Serena ... well well .. Big moment for Canada .... all the best Andreescu.... you can do it !!
Kenin played well but too safe and predictable. Most of her shots were either up the middle or cross court. Andresscu knew where the ball was going to which made it easier for her to control the points.
love the net exchange from the two. Kenin is like, fine i'll hug you but if you think I'm gonna give u any eye contact, congratulatory words or a smile, you're mistaken
They were teamed together at the Aurora games this year and cheered each other on. I think they will have a great “friendly” rivalry over the next 10 years.
Wow, what an amazing match from 2 hungry up and coming tennis stars. This match was everything it was supposed to be! Cleary both are future top 10 players. This was a worthy semi-final. Bianca is a fierce young lady.. And I honestly have been waiting to see her play against Serena... And I did want the remaxth with Kenin abd Halep.. Just because i think she deserves that... But this is tennis at it's best!
Kenin did really well against Andreescu. I'm Canadian so was cheering for Bianca the entire time, but Kenin really surprised me in how she was able to challenge Bianca. Amazing tennis from both!
@Kylie Krisp I don't think that it is a surprise that Kenin challenged Bianca. Kenin is a solid player that beat a lot of good players recently: Svitolina, Barty, Serena etc. She also beat Bianca this year...and her losses to Bianca were pretty close. Actually before the match Kenin was slightly favourite at the betting odds.
Kenin has the same fighting spirit that Bibi has. The main difference is that Bibi is a little more powerful which helps her win the big points when the pressure is on.
Just think - Bianca is only 19. If she is playing THIS WELL now, just think how good she can be with more experience and match play. If she wasn't sidelined so long with that shoulder injury, I believe she would be inside the Top 10 by now. Bianca Andreescu is FOR REAL!!!
Absolutely agree with Andrew Mark, she will not go much higher while expending this amount of energy in matches. Needs to learn to put away lesser opponents much faster with fewer errors...then we may see a longer term winner.
To all the Bianca haters .....Shame on you this is a young girl with plenty of talent, keep in mind she's only 19 yrs old.Bianca will only get better at her game and for all you women out there saying that she's obese this is outta pure jealousy.Go win that title today Bianca we are soooo proud of you !!
My 2 favorite player! They plays against each other. Very great match! They will be 1 & 2 alternatively for sure. The hug at the end signals their close future friendship like USA and Canada.
Awesome touch! Soft as handling a butterfly are those drop shots! Fantastic. Stand up Canada and take notice. Here is our Champion. She gets my vote for Canada’s Athlete of the Year.
SMH. Goodness gracious man! What the HECK is Bianca made out of? She is not 100% but she is giving 200%. Such an amazing journey and story. No matter what happens in the finals, she is one of my new favorite female and all around tennis players.
@Explore Video ...if Serena did that every match she wouldn't be getting destroyed in the early rounds of tournaments. The williams brothers haven't been relevant in tennis for years. I think Venus is ranked around 75th and Serena hasn't been past the third round of a tournament since Bianca butchered her at the U.S. open in 2019.
It’s interesting to watch Serena and Andreescu in Final because they have some similar things: power shots, aggressive, give opponent difficult balls to catch etc. Will have a good match to watch.
At 2:05 that drop shot with the ball high in the air is a rare thing to watch nowadays, it seems to be a new weapon in Bianca's arsenal, the Badminton touch :) 100 years plus ago when the sport was just a Victorian pastime for aristocrates, this shot would have been called a smash :)
Might I suggest watching some go fish if you don't want to see people get fired up. These were all big moments in the match (see: highlights) so it's pretty understandable to be bringing the intensity here imo.
Am I the only one seeing through this match the "next" evolution of tennis prefigured: strengh vista and guts. So comes the era of short reigns since the more physical sollicitations, the more injuries! First class female players are physically changing, more muscles... But it's damn spectacular !!!
Low key i wanted to see Bianca vs Kerber again!! After Kerber callin her the drama queen after she lost her twice in two weeks lol😂😂im sure Bianca would have defeated her again with no problem
What I like about Kenin she doesn’t quit! I’ve noticed when she serves she looks down 1:54 is there another WTA or ATP player doing the same thing? Thanks
I also love how she walk back fast and determined after each exchanges like forget the last point good or bad, let's get on with the next. This sends a strong message to her opponents. More than in the men' side it looks like the "next gen" is closer to the "now gen" on the women' side.
I agree ...Bianca successfully hit a drop shot with the ball bouncing upward and she hit it with the racket over her head!!! Who does stuff like that? Even the commentators were stunned at the "audacity" of even attempting that shot. A second serve ACE??? That's unheard of!! This young Canadian gypsy has owned every top ten player she's faced this year. Bianca's not playing "better" than the top ten, she's playing "different" from them. She's changing the game. Big babe tennis, with players banging 100 mph returns from behind the baseline until someone misses, is no longer working against the guile, variety and craftiness of her game. Bianca is a pleasure to watch.
Don't forget that Bianca was born in Canada so she's officially Canadian. She lived in Romania for a short time and her parents are Romanian but they came back to Canada in search of a better life. Tennis Canada recognized her talent at the age of 11 and sponsored her so she could focus on tennis and become the player she is today. Canadians are friendly and welcoming people so we are happy to see Romanians cheer for her too! Bianca is lucky to have the support of fans from both countries!
Bianca is playing too hard. Hope she wins lots of majors from now on. This hard play may cause lots of injuries. With this, she should win atleast 6-7 slams if not much more than this.
A little uninspired from Kenin, I'm a little disappointed after how gutsy she was against Svitolina. She has the variety to go toe to toe with Andreescu, as evidenced in their other 2 matches this year.
She has the tools for it but she needs to win comfortably. Too many 3 set wins will drain her for the finals. I don't see how she beats Serena tomorrow. It'll be 3 sets but she'll be too gassed for the 3rd set. Just like Osaka, Bibi needs to take her game to another level in other surfaces and especially to the net. She should've won this 6-3 in the 2nd had she gone forward and to the net and volleyed.
