I have stone molds and many other types of molds. One thing I wish to say is do not clamp your stone molds too tightly. You can and will crack them. Location of clamps must be on solid parts of stone molds. You can repair the mold with silicon and a metal plate
@CrustyCranks

I could see that happening although I have not cracked any yet, Thanks for Watching!

I use camp dry for a release. Light spray on each mold half, and wipe excess off of flat mating surfaces. Keeps the shine and pieces come right out without sticking at all.

I'll have to give that a try Thanks for the tip!

I think they're technically "artificial stone" molds, but as with many things on amazon they get away with slightly miss-naming them. I think they are made of a DuPont material called Corian (dupont refers to it as artificial stone, which is where the name presumably comes from) which is frequently used in kitchens and bathrooms as a low cost, high durability, material that looks like stone.

Yes, I agree they technically aren't real stone. Thanks for the info.

@@CrustyCranks you dont always have to buy all your stuff at once when it comes to colors and gliters. You can use other glitter that is cheaper from craft stores that will be cheaper

I believe the stone molds with two holes that leaked are for shooting different color tails. That's probably the idea behind it but a bad design.
@CrustyCranks
@CrustyCranks Год назад
You could be right about that. I'll have to say after I filled them with baking soda and super glue I was able to to use them to increase the success rate. Thanks for Watching.

Not sure how much research You've done but do it molds has a line of mold called essential series. The essential series is aluminum molds that are the same price of not only a couple of dollars more than those crap stone molds.
@CrustyCranks

Yes Sir, I have a couple of the essential series molds I'll probably do a video on soon. Thanks for Watching!

Been using it for years (spray) and it is clean, biodegradeable, doesm't gum up, leave residue and no scent. I use the cheap WallyWorld stuff and been pleased. Tight Lines mate! Keep up the good tutorials.@@CrustyCranks
