Bro...this was SOOOOOO FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! The humor was some of the best and came naturally. You rock bro and so does this video! You need way more attention/ exposure.
Wow that's pretty thorough definitely won a sub. Considering the military themed blades, would you ever consider a destruction test on the tops us combat knife?
P.S.I mainly buy SOG knives, they are all great quality but I couldn't ever test them like this (due to cost), but thank you for showing what they are actually capable of if need be!
Great test! Love your new goggles! Safety first! 😉 I have this knife and like its stabbiness. Putting a pinky lanyard helps A LOT for chopping. Edit: I just realized the Seal Team did significantly better on the bricks than the Seal Pup. Very important for the inevitable Brickopalypse.
Thank's for the test....interesting. S.O.G AUS-8 with the cryogenic heat treat seems top notch. I need to pick a couple up, we all know how they like to discontinue things sometimes. Thank's again Mr. Mayor.
I found one of these knives in the desert near Tucson in an area where a lot of homeless people camp. The knife looked like it had gone through hell and back, this video proves they're more than capable.
It's too bad SOG isn't making this anymore. I couldn't afford it then and just as my occupation and prospects levelled up it's gone. I missed out on it.
@@MayorFuglycools that’s one my favorite blades but it’s not America made that was an issue for sure but it seems pretty good besides I wouldn’t put it through that test you did so I’m positive that it would last me,at least it’s not Chinese lol.I think I’ll get one and a pup as well have a good day buddy.
Mayor Fuglycool You look about 5'10 I'm guessing 180lbs? DID I WIN!?!? Hahaha. I always loved this SOG, it's just a cool blade, the blade shape, handle, everything. It also helps that it has an extended tang for crushing stuff/breaking glass.
Very cool love your testing and I really like the look of the knife I just like the one without the serrations my wife wanted me to tell you that she just sub to your channel as well all because of your Uber cool goggles LOL she said now you just need a Bee Keepers hat with the net
I wanna see you use a hatchet from harbor freight.its great for sm kindling it's very light maybe 8 o.z.only $$ bout 7 $$. prob need to anchor head with epoxy and small screws. but it's so cool to use on sm kindling. it's a golden color
Nope, I don't get anything, and have not gotten anything from SOG . . . They promised me a SOG backpack gift pack, and never delivered LOL Mayor Fuglycool
good evening my friend..would like to congratulate you for your channel of videos and tutorials ... thanks to their demonstrations I have decided to make and make models of knife .. thank you very much .. if you could do a demonstration of knife ONTARIO RAT5. .. from El Coca -Ecuador ...
Hey Mayor, check out the SOG Pillar dude. USA made full tang blade with Micarta handles, exposed tang, and a blade made from CPM S35VN with a Kydex Sheath.
Hey, could you or anyone else with experience with these knives tell me if they personally prefer either the Sog Seal Team or the Ontario Mk 3 Navy based on balance, coating, edge retention, tensile strength, and the sheath? I'm going to be going through airborne and sf selection soon and I need a good knife, along with my Ontario SP-10 raider that would be practically decent while at least giving me some confidence if I felt like I had to get in a real knife fight, where I would prefer not to use my mini machete lol. Maybe even a glock 81 as I've found one new butttt I'd feel more confident with a more stainless steel for a finer, slicier blade than my bowie.
Honestly Seal Team and G81 are good choices. Seal team has a better pommel for hammering, and is easy to sharpen. Does not rust easily, but this is not really a pro because you should always lube / clean your equipment. Glock 81 has a good saw for small branches, and stays sharper longer than stainless steel blades. Best sheath for Airbone and Naval operations. Glock 81 is not going to be a slicer, but SF use their blades for weird stuff man. Rines usually use their Kabars and LMF's to open MRE's and cut toenails LOL. I am surprised that you will be able to carry a personal blade through SF selection, as they usually strip you and tell you what to use. If you are selected, it's usually up to the XO if you can carry personal blades on deployment. You can get a cool platoon dad if you are lucky lol. Mayor Fuglycool
@@MayorFuglycools Thanks for the insight! Sadly yes with tsa I left all my personal knives at home, I just personally heard stories about people being able to carry specific knives and I'd much like to have something to take home and get it nice and clean and sharp for whatever may come, though I suppose you can still get a Chris reeves now days, not sure how personal it is though.
Another informative review but, I have to challenge your claim that stainless steel blades cannot readily throw sparks from a ferro rod. It isn't the steel but the 90 degree spine.
Yeah I am really irked by that too. . . I mean the SOG 2000 is pretty much what made SOG what it is today, I would have no problem spending an extra 40-60$ for a Seal Team MADE IN THE USA. Mayor Fuglycool
Taiwan's not in america??? I bet if you ask some college kids atleast half will tell ya it is, on the west coast, between Washington St. And Origan. 😈😈💥😈😈🤓
