To be fair, Soifon didn't have any. She had to think of a way to win and when it didn't work she immediately had Omaeda cut her arm off. Barragan being able to age a magic missile is more plot armour XD

I don't think this is much plot armor more so just Barragan being very prideful after his ego got inflated for hundreds of years after becoming the king of Huceo Mundo. It was fully in his character to not really think about the fight as he believed he could just win via power alone without accounting for the abilities of his opponents. He probably would of gone on to fight some mid to high level captains but his own ego fucked him over.

It's even more impressive when you realize he was the undisputed God King of Hueco Mundo long before Head Captain Yamamoto was even ALIVE. That certainly puts things into perspective why he takes his time and thinks he'll outlast anyone because he was around when Hueco Mundo first formed.

@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 is being the undisputed God of a wasteland really all that credible. I have a feeling that he would not have evolved as much or otherwise grew in power in the same manner humans have stopped due to us being apex predators. I mean who exactly was there to challenge the God of Death himself? To be quite honest I don't think that he would have went down as fast as Hallibel did. I am most certain he would have put up one hell of a fight!

@@TAyMajestyMusica it is when that wasteland is full of monsters and lacks all forms of sustenance. Barragan was undisputed God King in a realm full of said monsters that can level cities and threaten even Captain Class beings. We see beings like Stark, Yammy as well as Ikomikidomoe(who defeated a young Yamamoto) and Szayel(who before he separated himself had spirit pressure on par with Yammy's Resurrecion) inhabit that dimension and yet, Barragan was the God King. I'd say it's also worth noting that Barragan alone of all the Espada Aizen brought Gin and Tosen along to deal with on top of his hypnosis. And unlike the Soul Society and the World of the Living where there were rules and community, Hueco Mundo was a lawless every being for themselves plane of existence where it was quite literally eat or be eaten for each individual. Barragan conquered it virtually from its inception, he just grew bored and lacked any reason to progress. He ruled over the entirety of an entire plane of existence as a God and was almost as old as the Bleach Universe(post division) he knew of Soul Reapers, he just dismissed them as non issues since they never entered Hueco Mundo or interfered with him and the world of the living held no reason for him to invade it because there was nothing humans could do to he or his army. Until Aizen came around and dethroned him, there was no one who had shown up to pose a threat to him in his rule that he couldn't just snuff out of existence with his abilities. Even beings with higher spiritual pressure(like Stark, Yammy and Szayel) didn't dispute his rule.

There is no good matchup against Barragan, as long ranged attacks can also age. You're either far more powerful than him (which is hard, as he is clearly far stronger than an average captain, and I can only see form 2 Aizen and bankai Yama beating him that way) or you have plot devices to pull wins straight out of you know where (Hachi, Urahara, Mayuri, shinigami Aizen).

Yup. Hachi figured out his weakness and didn't need her to finish end it. Also her bankai is not only ironic it's also kinda ass. One of the worst in the entire series not just the captains.

1. The strongest espada is questionable. His release is definitely op compared to the others, When grimjaww turns into a panther, stark gets a gun and a coat, ulqiourra is a bat etc 2. Soi fon is a cocky, whiny brat that ranks as one of the weakest if not the weakness captain. 3. She wasn't capable of beating him alone. Hachi was the one to figure out how to kill him and haz the ability to accomplish it. She blasted His ass with her strongest move after hachi trapped him and itvdamaged him but not significantly. Hachi saved her ass for sure. 4. A captain barely surviving against an enemy that they made clear the espada were captain level beings. To be fair all the captain survived against the espada and went up against aizen the strongest character and survived. Inoe blocked a direct struke from ywach and not onlybsurvived she tanked that shit. That an accomplishment not barely suviving a 3 on one

Barragan could easily killed her but she didnt. shes not strong like kyoraku or byakuya but shes better and stronger captain than rose kensei and shinji who did nothing but losing in the entire series.

I think that too lol. Aizen definitely did it to fuck with him because I do not see Starrk being more powerful than him. The only way the espada rankings really make sense is if they're ranked off the power of their cero. Since Starrk can fire unlimited cero (even if they're not INSANELY strong like cero oscuras it's still thousands of cero in a second) it could make sense he was #1.

Its rank is based on reiatsu like Yammy number 0 after he used Resurrection, while Starrk has shown to kill those around him without doing anything. Barragan hax is OP asf, but in reiatsu rank it's a different. I get why people aren't impressed by Starrk performance, but to be fair, even Kyoraku almost used his Bankai if Ukitake didn't try to change his mind. And not to mention he fought 4 captains on his own.

I've always believed that. Aizen made him the Number Two to mess with him.

Aizen placed Starrk as number 1 because he had massively more raw reiatsu than the rest, being able to fire infinite ceros. However, Starrk never trained or tried to refine his abilities, thus leading to his lackluster performance as number 1.

He'd have wrecked Sternritter K. Most of the Sternritter wouldn't have been able to beat Barragan. Even after the time skip and power increase in CFYOW it's flat out stated that Halibel, Nel and Grimmjow COMBINED were nowhere near as powerful as Barragan was BEFORE Aizen boosted his power through the Hogyoku.
