We bought our first Jackery about 2 years ago. It was the smaller 250 (?) it changed the way we camped and what we could bring. We replaced that with the 500 w and recently added the 1000 w along with a 100 w solar panel. Take it from me its a game changer. No worries about running out of power. The 1000w powers the Dometic fridge for 4 days.

I just picked up the Jackery 1000 and love it! It runs my icybreeze all night so when it was 90 and humid here in Indiana I had cold air in my tent! Totally worth it in my opinion!

Congrats! I love my 1500. We use it for gas furnace AC power as we have frequent ice storms that bring lines down. Great for the Sump Pump as well so the basement don't flood. Enjoy!

What i really liked was the juryrigging the panels on the roof!! Def would be cool to see if that could work to charge up while driving in the sun -please follow up with some more exact stats on that one- us mobile heads like creative problem solving and different types of pack outs so please keep that part up as part of your show :)

Just brought the 1000 unit with the solar panels. Already had the 300 unit but no solar panel. With the solar panels as you two know now. You have unlimited power.

That was brilliant viewing, I have 2 1100W Jackery’s and absolutely love them. I use independent Monocrystal 400w solar panels in series. Best things I’ve ever bought for my MotorHome . I have 8 Mavic pro batteries to charge and it does it effortlessly. Great video thanks again Ray K UK. YNWA.

I could be wrong, but if they were in parallel, you maybe able to get more out of them. I think in series, the jackery handles 30v max? So the buck converter wouldn’t be too efficient at higher volts and parallel may be better?

They have an option to charge from a car outlet. Did you try that while driving instead of charging with solar panels on the roof? Also what’s the max solar input level for this? If you have higher wattage panels from another manufacturer, will they work with an adapter?

Man that rig is sweet but has to be sooo heavy. Any idea of how much over you are your GVWR? Why just not get a Tundra? Sorry if you've answered that before. But at the topic of the video, my wife and I are looking between a few of those, as the Texas Snowmaggedon hit us bad too. We're looking into the Expert power Alpha 2700 due to it's higher capacity than most we've seen.

The 1500 works well as backup power for my sump pump and gas furnace electronics & blower motor. City dwellers never know when an ice storm will bring trees down that disrupts Grid Power. Provided one has solid knowledge and experience with AC power, this unit can easily be interfaced with the home's distribution panel.

@@tacomabeast Thank you. I've ran several tests. Of course you should have a transfer switch as you don't want outside power on at any time. Then you simply back feed to pole A or B through the 220 volt clothes dryer outlet to single pole breakers. All double gang 220 breakers remain off. You can also use two Inverters, one on pole A and the other on B. Never parallel inverters as the currents will be out of phase. The idea is to switch in or out branch circuits on an as needed basis. I used a spare 220 volt dryer cord and two spare 110 volt cords interfaced on a screw terminal Barrier Strip with spade lugs. The 110 volt cords are kept short to minimize voltage drop with one going to each inverter outlet. I use both the 1500 and 500 at the same time.

Use a power bar it'll take 2 and you can plug in at least 3 wall warts per power bar or if you get the ones that are designed for equipment chargers each power bar will do 6 or more so no they don't need to add extra expenses to widen out the spacing between the 110 plugs

the solar panels are not waterproof so its not recommended that you put them on top of the van in rainy weather

When you have the solar panels on the roof that was cool, but did you know that at the same time they are on the roof you can use the car port charger that is to say you can charge two different methods at the same time? Boom! The more you know.
