Thanks for checking out our review of this 2018 Great Harbour TT35 trawler yacht. We have reviewed several trawler yachts on the channel now, but none like this! When you think of a 35ft trawler, most people will be thinking along the lines of a Grand Banks 36, not a twin gas outboard trailerable trawler. This is a very unique boat, but one that offers many advantages for a cruising couple.
You can take advantage of the road trailer and launch the boat in Tampa this weekend, Savanah next weekend, and even take it to land locked lakes and rivers as well. You can do the Great Loop in stages, bring her south in the winter etc.
The boat was designed and built for the Great Loop, but unfortunately, the owner has health issues that forces this sale. You can view the listing of this boat on YachtWorld at www.yachtworld... and you may want to check out ‪@greatharbourtrawlers6548‬ site at www.greatharbo....
Hope you guys will love this video.

Standing headroom is excellent. Actual headroom measurements as part of the walk thru are even better.

Love that design! Like the fact it’s OB powered too! Diesel and gas at the fuel dock in NJ is INSANE!

In most cases, the argument for outboards is lower noise, less fumes, and ease of maintenance. In this case, it is all of the above but you can also trim the outboards up and get close to shore. Imagine this boat in somewhere like the Florida Keys, it would be perfect!!

Thanks Norman! Glad you enjoyed the video. There is another TT35 on the market that I've been asked to take a look at, so you may see another pop up on here soon 😉

Can be used as an RV/Camper while going to any of the lakes on the 50 estates.

I love how comfortable this boat is for its size. Normally when I am on trailer boats, they feel very claustrophobic. This one however, you could forget it fits on a trailer the way it is designed. The fact you are buying both a boat and RV at the same time, that's just an extra cherry on the cake!

How thick are those rub rails? If you could take off just over 2" from each you wouldn't need that "wide load" permit! If I had just under $300k available I'd be snapping this one up (most of the excess is for a tow vehicle). Needs some work, the main item I saw in your walk through was right around the bow thruster.
@GarnockReviews
@GarnockReviews 3 года назад
Hey John, glad you enjoyed the review. You raise an interesting point about the rub rails but not sure to be honest how easy they are removed, or if removing them would remove the wide load permit. I can however, provide more detail on the bow thruster. Originally, the boat had a drop down boat thruster. The drop down system worked well when docking alongside pontoons, but where it would fail was when launching or retrieving on the trailer. The work you see around the bow thruster is because this is a brand new unit. The boat is soon to have this work wrapped up, fresh coat of anti foul, detailed polish throughout, and back looking as good as new.

@@GarnockReviews It looked like it was a fresh installation. To my knowledge, if your trailer/load is under 10 feet you aren't required to have it marked as wide. Now it may be different there in Florida than up here in Michigan. My current boat is a 12 foot Sportspal canoe lol

I appreciate your videos and narration, and I don't like to make negative comments generally, however, in this case, I must. This boat has a home-built look to it, and not a good one at that, in my opinion. I think the cabin layout is poor, especially having had 35 ft. to work with. As for her hull design, it''s not attractive either. The bluff stem is ugly, in my opinion (they all are) and it's probably fine for the inland waterways or a calm day in Florida, but I wouldn't want to be in her if there was any kind of sea running or it was blowing 25 knots. The woodwork is very nice, and she seems tidily built, but I think for the money I would look elsewhere. Not to say it wouldn't be ideal for some of course, to each their own and that's fine.

Hey Harbour Dog, welcome back to the channel! I appreciate your feedback and sorry to hear this one didn't tick all the boxes for you. While I can agree the Great Harbour range have a somewhat unique design, I can honestly say this does not feel like a home built boat when onboard. Eric actually has a TT35 under construction at the yard, and I was able to get to see how it was made behind the scenes. I am not sure how you could make a trailerable boat any stronger than this, for a boat of this size. I see your point about the boat not being as suitable for rough seas as the rest of the Great Harbour range, but that is where the benefit of the increased hull speed comes in. Most Great Harbours have a speed range in the 7 - 9 knots window, but this can do more than double that!! The beauty from this increased speed is that you only need half the weather window you normally would for your crossings etc. I am sorry this one wasn't for you, but will be bringing more boats to the channel very soon 😉

It's not a true trailerable trawler, it's over 8'6" wide, it takes a trip permit Every time you take it out.

Thanks for watching Wes. You may need permits, but you don't need a CDL or 18 wheeler to tow it.

considering the barebones construction and all the bare fibreglass I would expect the price to be half of what it is.

Thanks for watching and for leaving your feedback. These boats are in strong demand, so much so this one is sold and sold quick. There aren't many boats like it to compare it to but a close rival would be Ranger R27, and this would appear to be priced competitively against it. As to the construction, she was designed to be shallow draft, lightweight, and narrower beam than most 35ft trawlers so that it could be easily towed on a trailer, and explore areas other boats can't.

Someone elbowed the center of the fridge.
@GarnockReviews
@GarnockReviews 3 года назад
I honestly never noticed that when onboard or when editing the video. I took another look at the video and I do see the blip in the reflection as if there is some sort of dent there. I know the fridge was nice and cold on a hot day when I was onboard, so can only assume this is a superficial wound and not a major malfunction. I did a quick Google and looks like this is a common issue, especially when installing appliances and can be easily repaired if required.

Hi, how/where is the access to all the tanks? Thanks.

Hey thanks for watching. Most of the access to under the deck is under the seats in the aft cockpit, or under the large hatch as you enter the galley.

Thanks for watching. It's shallow draft for sure, but not really flat bottomed. Helps get the boat up to speed and offer stability, yet still easy to load on a trailer or beach in shallow water

Great Harbor is getting away from their roots with this one IMHO. Not a handsome vessel at all, looks like a cheese box on a boat hull. I think there are better outboard options out there.
@GarnockReviews

I like how as a company, they targeted almost a niche market. Ranger Tugs is really the only obvious competitor for this one. I think it will chase and attract a different market. I've been on the TT35, GH37, N47, GH47 and I'd personally take the GH37 first.

@@GarnockReviews Ranger is also implementing the Yamaha Helm Master joy stick control. As marinas get more crowded and the experience level of boaters is declining, this is a very important feature often overlooked. While I have a degree of boating experience, docking a 58' Saber yacht in a tight marina would be something I would never attempt. The guy who owned it had me take it into the marina, and back it into the slip, fairly windy day in Maine. With his coaching and the Volvo-Penta IPS drives I put that boat into the slip like I had done it hundreds of times before. I never would believe close quarter moving could be that easy. Im just getting back into boats after a 25 year hiatus and the new tech is nothing short of amazing.

I love the advancement of technology on boats. It makes it far easier than ever before to handle and navigate a boat. Always handy to learn the basics should that technology ever fail though

@KitLaughlin @bluestarindustrialarts7712: Please do offer your suggestions re. "...there are better outboard options out there.". I would like to know about these. I think this vessel is the harbinger of the future of boats under 40'. Economical, fuel-wise, and enough room for two people.
