This 1969 E-Type Roadster is available FOR SALE through Monocoque Metalworks - it is owned by one of our customers and we will be facilitating the sale. The car is complete and fully numbers matching. It was built on December 8th, 1968, original mileage was 68,411, and all components are in VERY good condition, with MANY new parts already installed or waiting to be installed.
Restoration was already started on this project - it was completely disassembled by the previous owner and parts were bagged and labeled. The body shell and bonnet have been completely restored - it has had some new metal in the floors, and the LH inner and outer sill were replaced in the past. The shell has been finished in British Racing Green and the work is very, very good - whoever did the paint and body work knew what they were doing and did the job right - and I don't say that very often!
This is a great opportunity to skip straight to the FUN part of the restoration - all of the hard - and DIRTY! - work is done! The metalwork, bodywork, and paint work is what typically either stalls or kills an E-Type restoration, and that is ALL behind you on this one! Instead, you can jump right into moving forward on engine work and assembly!
Getting started on the restoration is often the hardest part - with this one, you can grab a cup of coffee, head out into the garage, and get to work on that E-Type project you've been dreaming of!
This E-type has been well cared for, and very reasonably priced. This is a worthy example that is numbers matching with good provenance and a desirable and popular color scheme - Treat Yourself! Better act fast, though - they always go quick!
