I have the 330i series, only mine is 300hp 6er - my third BMW, the best cars I ever owed. Just take care of them and they will last forever, true workhorse!

I use to have a BMW 520i 2001 , the thing is, its classic basic engine car so if you really want to reveal the beast of BMW u have to go for 530i , there is a huge difference in the performance . The only problem i faced with the 520 car is always was the Fuel Pump ... Don't ever buy after market spare parts, its a nightmare . Always go for the original parts with luxury cars.

21 mpg city, 30 mpg hwy. 22mpg combined. 0-60 mph 7 seconds. 145 mph. Avenue. 3 oil changes per year. All tires 34 psi regardless of what it says on the door pillar. Inspect oil and water levels monthly. It should use neither. Never fill the coolant to the top, just 2 inches below. If the temperature Guage begins to move towards the 'red' find a place to pull over immediately. Great car, but not perfect.

Higher spec on e39 530i, sport package, winter package, 3 spoke steering wheel, navigation screen headunit with backup camera, manual transmission, black interior (thicker more durable leather), headlight and interior light upgrades (aftermarket) center console armrest, polyurethane bushings upgrade, DISA valve upgrade replacement.

they're pretty good on fuel, I could get 30 mpg on the highway at 65mph. they are not the most reliable cars and will be costly if you don't do maintenance yourself. be prepared to spend a lot on the cooling system, vanos, and other electrical issues. I sold mine and and got a lexus ls400 instead.

It takes premium gas and gets about 20 miles per gallon with city driving. The maintenance could be expensive if you don’t do it yourself. Genuine parts are expensive.

Josh Henriquez excellent! In the last year only regular oil changes, brakes, plugs, etc. At 174k it runs like 74k. Best car ever! it’s thirsty in town though, about 15-18mpg, 25mpg on the highway. But your fuel costs will not be as much as bmw maintenance! Plus the V8 has plenty of torque to satisfy
