A true Upper Peninsula waterfront gem. Clear Lake, a 29 acre lake with about 1.2 miles of shoreline, lies within a private 560 acre tract of rolling woodlands. Located in Western Marquette County North of Lake Michigamme and just East of the Peshekee River, this private lake property is one of the finest you’ll find. Much of the acreage is rolling mixed hardwoods dominated by maple. This portion of the Upper Peninsula is dominated by rugged rocky highlands with maple hardwood stands interspersed with hemlock, balsam, and spruce in the lower and wet areas. The acreage has access roads entering from the North and splitting providing access to both the east and west sides of the lake. Picture a northwoods wilderness and you have a feel for this acreage. The Clear Lake property is near thousands of acres of remote wilderness including the famous McCormick Wilderness Tract. Clear Lake has depths to 30 feet and true to the name, very clear waters. The shoreline is rocky with high rock outcroppings and several nice contours to provide gorgeous views of the lake from shore and the shore from the lake. Clear Lake has been managed for and planted with Brook Trout and sustains a healthy population. A recent Limnological study of the lake was completed revealing excellent water quality and suggesting that the lake would sustain bluegill and bass if desired in addition to the trout. More information including this full lake study report are available upon request. Your private lakefront estate awaits. The land, lake, and surrounding wilderness area will not disappoint.
