After 2 years of sitting it was time to make the decision and I made it! - I sold the Saleen SSC Clone because it was taking up space and space = money. With a bit of cash in my pocket I can get something else that will make me some money!

About 6 years ago I sold my silver Evo 9. Miss it every day. Used that money to put down on building a house. So worth it. But I miss it. I understand what you did. All part of it

I hear what you're saying, and agree its great advice. I'm glad I kept my car though, but I always had a plan in mind, there were times I considered offers for $3k. 😧 But look what it's becoming now. Different situation being original owner and the sentimental value. But when you have something your not going to get to it can be better to free up that capital for other opportunities.

Smart move . I considered buying it but with the wreck history made it a hard NO. Not all history is good history on a car .

Wise words. Sentimental attachment or pie-in-the-sky dreams can make a project challenging to let go of, but reality can't be ignored. You did the right thing. Onward and forward.

When you're doing this for money, every foot of space has to make a profit. When you're doing this on a budget, you have to know when you've lost interest and cut your losses before it costs you even more money. you southern guys are lucky because your rust-free vehicles are in demand. As someone who hits the estate sales to cut costs on projects, i can only hope that folks who have a dead project sitting around, will keep the parts all together. I've picked up items cheap because they were missing stuff, on a promise, "when we find XYZ, we'll call you" and never did. do your kids a favor and be organized--store stuff in the car or keep it nearby.
