If you drip solder in a multimillion dollar satellite (these are built in a clean rooms) I wonder what it will short out in outer space? Do you think it will work in space when you want it to?
it means he don't know what he's talking about. (The glare from his nose is blinding me). If you are blinded you cannot see. Bad info is just as bad as being blinded temporarily.
You noticed how he disabled the comments on teaching MIG welding. I'm pretty sure UCI knows this guy is just in it for the money. They wouldn't want to cancel this guys class.
Seen a few videos- up to soldering. They are very good and you know your stuff. In England electricians use snips, side cutters, to bare wire quickly or a not too sharpe knife. Your ways is just fine but different. We used to use screwitts, that's wire nuts, made of porcelain. Interestingly because the voltage is a nominal 230 volts the current to supply an appliance is half that that is needed here. It does make the wiring a lot easier to work with. Looking forward to more of your videos.
i learned two things from you, Sir. First, getting the third hand, which is very comfortable to avoid the heat when we put two wires together to solder. i ordered one from amazon right after seeing it. Second, i know i should put the soldering gun at the bottom of the wire to heat the wire directly and then do the soldering. last, i need to clean the tip by rubbing it with a dampened sponge. thanks!
Thank you for this video. I was repairing my daughter's talking Hello Kitty doll and made the stupid mistake of letting the solder drip. Next time (I presume there will be a next time given the fact that this was the second time I was repairing it) I won't make the same mistake.
You can also obtain nice little portable solder devices which are butane powered and work excellent for heat shrink with an adapter. They are about $100.00 at Jensen Tools on line.
