Lol, no he didn't. Ryan him once by surprise and wasn't trying to fight him. Maeve wasn't fighting him either, she fought Homelander and only tackled SB out the window at the very end. And yeah, he didn't fight Homelander either outside of Herogasm, where Homelander almost killed him in a 1v1. The only ones SB could solo would be the Boys.

I low-key think Maeve might be stronger than Soldier Boy. Before you fanboys get mad, hear me out. During the Herogasm fight, Soldier Boy, Butcher, and Hughie together only managed to bruise Homelander. Yeah, people make the "SB wasn't at full power" argument, but he also had help. It was a 3v1. Meanwhile, Maeve punched Homelander in the nose once and made him bleed. The first, and so far only, person to ever make him bleed. "Homelander wasn't trying to kill her." Cool, but that doesn't change his durability, which Maeve was strong enough to make him bleed with a punch.
Homelander beats butcher and soldier boy in the same time, that and the same serie and creator says homelander is a better version of soldier boy more stronger, faster, ect... yeah he have the explosion but he needs concentration and time for do this explosion and homelander miliseconds shoot fire beams to soldier boy.
