Same! I try to never use the excuse that I am single to not go to concerts and comedy shows. The few people I have in my life are either married with kids and I’d be the third wheel or can’t get out w/out kids. Or the friend isn’t into what I like or don’t want to splurge and that’s fine. So I just go by myself.
I felt bad yesterday because I was so stressed out and decided to go on a solo date today. So I got myself some pretty flowers and a little candle and went back home to order some sushi and watch gossip girl. It helped me so so much, I’m definitely gonna do this more often ❤️
I went on a solo date to a 18th century manor house and gardens ,it such a lovely day I spoke to the guides learnt loads of history, looked round at my own pace then sat in the gardens enjoying an oat latte and vegan flapjack in the sunshine . I'm going to an opera by myself too ☺
Thank you do much for making these videos. It's helping me so much. I love how you don't judge yourself for feeling anxious on solo dates. " I'm willing to do through this discomfort to get closer to myself " such a powerful statement.
That's what I needed to hear right now!!!... I've been planning to take myself out on a solo date but had no idea about how to do that and most importantly how to deal with the discomfort... Thanks to you for answering all the question I had in my mind, you're a genius❤ You're my inspiration and we've so much in common, I kind of see my higher self in you😘. That's all, thank you✨
Gurll I just realized why I should solo date!!! and when you said "if nobody likes artists, doesn't mean you can't go" that hit me up like a train, a power quote🔥
Just came across your page and I’m so drown to your content…you are truly amazing, I know this channel will be my safe place to come when I need inspiration a, motivation and a little spark in my confidence ❤️❤️
I didn't realize I was taking myself to solo dates since highschool. Whenever I need to study or write a report for school, I'd go to a cafe if I'm mentally blocked from being in the same environment for so long. I was so focus on my business I didn't realize people were staring at me. I also do many stuff alone which I never thought was an issue, again I didn't realize people stare at me. I think the hardest to do will be having dinner by yourself as it is a gathering occasion, but breakfast and lunch is easy because students and corporates do it all the time esp on a busy schedule.
Watching this made me realize I've been taking myself out on solo dates my whole 20's lol I'm always wanting to try new things and go new places and I don't like waiting around for people lol😅 😅 due to life being life I stopped dating myself. Love the idea of watching a movie by myself in my room. Love the idea of taking a hike with a podcast. Thanks for the reminder!
I'm going on a solo date next thursday, i wanna go to the mall and enjoy a coffee and watch the titanic movie because it comes out that day and i'm so excited, i'm about to binge watch your videos hahah
I've moved to a new country and I have no friends and omg this was what I needed !!! All your vdos feel like a big hug to me and they're so so helpful!!! I was so scared to go ice skating all by myself, but I think I will now after seeing this vdo !!
I love this video. I get so inspired by you because I love solo dates very much. This is what I think it''s best for me. I love hanging out by myself with my favourite places for dining, nature walks, and etc. I would love to do some more including taking myself on the solo dates to the beaches. I love solo dates because I don't like friendship at high school that much. I love solo dates a lot. Because solo dates can help me improve on being my own competition and loving myself by doing what's best for myself. Thank you very much and I will try my best in doing my own solo dates just like you.
I’m 18 and I’ve genuinely never been like out solo. But now I have access to money and stuff and free time cuz schools over. I’ll be moving to college and it’s on the other side of my country and I’m scared because I’ve heard ppl there are more aggressive and also just, more outgoing. So tomorrow I’m going to a cafe and clothes store near my house as the first step
Omg I had no idea the Waterstones in Derby is so fancy! I live nearby and am definitely gonna check this out. Thank you! Ps you’re like my ideal friend. We love a supportive, confident, independent and self assured queen 🎉
You don’t even have to be single to do this. My husband doesn’t always want to go to the same places as me, so I just go alone. I’ve never felt weird about it.
Hi Tam! This video is so helpful in giving me ideas of what I can do for a solo date. I also love the chunky silver bracelet you're wearing (The David Yurman-esque one on your left arm at timestamp 15:25), where is it from? Thanks!
You're giving me the sister's vibe and I love itt. I'll plan to have a solo date on my 18th birthday, a lot of things happen that make me don't want to interacct with people anymore, so I want to do sth different. Love you🌟
Also, LOVE this video, you are similar to me! I do a LOT of things solo, people think it's so weird, but just like you said - what are you going to do, wait around and not live your life?
The wisdom in this content is a powerful driver for ongoing exploration. A similar book I read led to new avenues of thought and understanding. "Your Body Your Temple" by Various
"you're the one who's always been there for you your entire life. You're the person you can trust most on this planet." ...... it's crazy how much that reminder is needed
@@tamkaur so proud of you for vlogging publicly also! thats such a big deal - so glad i found your channel, ty for gifting us w your presence & insight 🫶🏾🤍
NOBODY CARES trust me guys, nobody think about you or judge you, if you think they are judging you it’s because you do it to your self. People look because they have eyes, they don’t look intentionally at you and if they do it most of the time it’s because they found you pretty or you are wearing something they like
The no phone rule is sooooooooo good! I thought I was pretty good at solo dating until I started watching you. I realised all this time I'd been dating my anxieties and my phone. I could go out solo, but I spent the day usually avoiding X cafe because I was too scared of getting stared at and didn't know how to order / the waiters looked rude etc or avoiding X clothing store because I didn't look rich enough to go there.... etc. AND I was alllllllllways on my phone, spending time chasing other people on messages, social media. Thank you so much for the tips! You're helping me enormously
I highly admire that she had the confidence to go out places by herself. Even though I'm currently 15 I know that it's something I'll have to get used to later on in life when I move away from my parents to a different state and live on my own. But when I turn 16 I'm definitely inspired to get used to going out places by myself because as introverts who prefer spending time alone we deserve to enjoy life at it's fullest when we're not always with someone. I also liked how she said that you should just embrace your emotions of feeling uncomfortable because that's the only way you'll get better at it and at the end of the day you'll be proud of yourself for doing what you wanted to do despite the way you felt.
I took myself on the best date , I went for coffee read my book, sat in a restaurant got myself lunch , looked around the thift shops went to a hippy style shop and bought myself a beautiful rainbow moonstone ring and ended the day with getting myself snacks and going to the cinema ... I have a partner 😂
I could not be watching this at a more divine time. I just lost my job, went through a breakup and have also been in back to back relationships so this year is definitely dedicated to self love and solo dating and choosing ME. I can’t wait, I’m honestly excited. Thank you for this!
I completely agree. I go for concerts, shopping sprees, museums, parties and restaurants solo & it’s so fun tbh. Most times I’ll find someone I know and say hi and keep it moving lol I am planning to do a solo trip soon so yeah let’s see how that goes 😊
I have anxiety really bad. The gym is the main thing that helps me but I was too scared to join because I didn’t want anyone else watching me workout. After watching your videos you gave me the confidence to sign up for a membership. Yesterday I was the only girl in the gym with a bunch of men. The old me would’ve left immediately, but I ignored them and did my workout. Accepting the uncomfortable instead of avoiding it is seriously the best advice and now I go to the gym regularly regardless of who’s there/who’s watching.
IMMACULATE! I am 19 and I struggle a lot with self love and acceptance. I'm in a bad place rn but your videos help me sooo muchhh. I love the way you carry yourself and how you've built yourself up. You are an inspiration!! So much love and power to you Tam!!!
I had keyed in solo date ideas and this came up....I'm turning 30 next month....a guy I was dating at the beginning of Dec 2023 broke up with me....& I thought to myself, why not finally date myself....I'm so ready for it...I'm so excited....oh my🤗🤗🤗 thank you for all the advise ...you are gorgeous
Most of the things suggested as solo dates are things I already do, and I never thought of looking at them as dates with myself. Such a nice way to look at it, and I will be doing so from now on! Such a lovely idea!
I know what you mean lol I have a partner but he rarely likes going places, I don't have any friends so instead of feeling sad about it I just embrace it and really treat myself . I had a lovely solo date the other day I took myself for coffee, read my book , ordered lunch at a restaurant looked around the thrift shops , bought myself a lovely rainbow moonstone ring from this hippy shop I'd been meaning to visit for ages, had a nice chat with the girl serving and ended the day with getting some snacks and going to the cinema. Such a wonderful day In the summer I often take myself on picnics or to musuem... maybe it's harder for people who are used to having friends around . I don't think anything of it 😂
Getting ready to take myself out on a solo date to a drag brunch in about an hour. Bought the ticket 2 months ago knowing I'd be going by myself. I'm super excited 🤩 I enjoy solo dating because trying to date these days and I get tired of waiting for guys to be good company. I live in a big city and there's things I wanna do/see. I'm not going to sit around and refuse to have fun because I have no one to hang with. Solo dating and enjoying my solitude has healed my soul, I love it ❤
Love this. First concert i went to alone was The Weeknd and was sooooo much better. When you go with friends, they just hold you back from sneaking to the front row 😝
I'm here after 5 year long relationship breakup. I really don't know how to chase places, make memories by myself and when I'm not working I just feel so alone and I miss the excitement of going on dates. That's why I just decided to see how people deal with this. Thank you so much girly❤ I'm taking my notes haha😌
When she was saying "read it, read it, reading currently, read it.. " it felt like a bestie talking to us, that gurl who always does the right things and imma read the same books😭❤️
I currently discovered your channel and I can’t stop watching your videos. It helped me so much to discover myself, grow and boost my self confidence. You are amazing and helped me so much going through a break up! 💗💗
I saw this video some minutes ago. And I wanna say thank you so much for making this video. You give to me so much inspiration and confident to do much more solo date in my city. I'm from Italy and I think that here it is weird to do solo date because no one do it. But I think it is important to do solo date because can bring you to love yourself even more. So I just want to say thank you for making this video. You have helped me so much and also inspire me. So thank you. And have a nice day. :)
Hi, luvvv. I have just experienced heartbreak and your videos have immensely helped me. I just woke up having the courage to leave a situationship that doesn't give me what I deserve. I stopped taking care of a field that doesn't feed me. Right now, I have been loving myself even more. Each morning, I would watch your videos to remind myself that I am worthy, and that I am that bitch. I have been enjoying my time alone. I have been doing myself a favor and I have started dating myself. It was hard at first. I have even asked a friend to be with me each time I'd go somewhere, but lately, I realized I should be doing things "Alone" alone. Thanks, luv. God bless you.
For so long I kept thinking “this girl has a Leicester vibe to her” - and then she says she lived there before… so mature at such a young age, I wish I had your wisdom back then, only learning now
It's now been 2 months since you recorded this video, but I wanted to let you know about "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo". I've read this book in June 2022 and up to know it is my favourite book. I am a reader-although lately I hadn't had time for it- and I've read many book mostly fiction butI promise you that this book is worth it. It's fiction but while reading it the way the author wrote this novel, it makes it seem like you are having a casual conversation with someone but at the same time like you are part of the story. Essentially, it is an amazingly written book and is very captivating!
i love solo dating. i took myself to a dance club last december which was awkward at first since i was standing in line solo for an hour but i just wanted to dance.
