i've been using metronome on just about all of my water absorb / storm drain builds too. I made an exception for vaporeon because I wanted to be able to use fake tears after primarina resets its stats a 2nd time at the 30% HP mark and I knew that would break the metronome chain. i thought it would lead to a faster run but you beat my time by 86 seconds so I was probably wrong. now that i think about it, the math checks out. with metronome by the time you get to the 2nd stat wipe you're maxed at 100% boost. that produces the same damage outcome as -2 spdef from a single fake tears. but you were benefitting from fake tears + metronome while the shield was up and you didn't have to waste a turn using fake tears a 2nd time, so it's clear where the time savings came from.
