It's the weekend, and once again I'm out wildcamping, this time Causey Pike is the nights destination. It's June, and we should be basking in sunshine, but it's cold, wet and windy, what the heck is going on! This is a lovely little trail, the start is steepish and very steady, by the time I reached the first flat spot I was ready for a rest. from here it's about half an hour to the summit where you are greeted by 360 views. On reaching the summit the wind was very strong indeed, although there are no pitches directly on the summit, with a little exploration there are a few to be found. Despite having the kit to handle the bad weather I couldn't find a pitch sheltered from the wind, so decided to drop down a little bit, and pitched the tent in a relatively sheltered spot with great views. I chilled out for ages, although it was cold, even inside the tent! In the early hours I was woken by heavy wind and rain, which led to a very broken night's sleep. Once up and about it was very gloomy and overcast, with the wind and rain persisting I wasn't looking forward to walking back to the car at all! Nevertheless it was a very enjoyable camp, and I hope you all enjoy😁 atb Paul 🙏 🏕🏕🏕😁 #camping #mountains #travel
