DIY instructions:
"I experienced 0% success on my phone after the screen became unresponsive. It took me around half an hour to identify the issue, but I managed to fix it. The phone is now functioning flawlessly after the repair.
To troubleshoot this issue, I suggest checking the #3 cable as it may have become loose through daily use. You can do this by lightly pressing on it from the top with your thumb. If the lines on the screen disappear, then the cable needs to be seated properly. If the lines remain even after pressing on the cable, it's possible that the pins on #3 are bent or there are broken solder joints. You can inspect this using a magnifying glass or microscope as it may be difficult to spot with the naked eye."

oh no... I would be afraid too but the best thing to do is tell your parents that the phone is broken because I dropped it and face it the outcome. My advice is, to be honest with them, it will hurt them but you will be okay. Good luck, be confident and tell the truth.

when you take apart the screen, try dusting it off with a toothbrush. dust sometimes makes our phones unusable

Yes, it looks exactly the same. I tried unplugging all 4 of the connections and plugging them back in. I did it more than once so I'm sure they're well secured.

I bought a replacement screen, when I finished the installation of the new screen it had horizontal lines across with a very blurry & dull screen. I then put back my cracked screen to checked if I did anything wrong but it worked perfectly. So does that mean replacement screen has a defect or I just didn't do something right?

I had a similar issue with my iphone6, took it to apple store in MoE Dubai and they told me that the phone is at the end of its lifecycle and i should buy a new iphone. There is no point in getting this phone repaired. - That was their solution. I saw this video and got my phone fixed from a local phone repair shop for 20$. It works perfectly fine now.

yes I have the same problem. i dropped mine a couple times and it craked but now the bottom left corner of my phone has black a part and it is unresponsive when i try to press it for the apps that has use for that specific part like when trying to go back on your feed for Instagram or checking your messages for messenger. is there a way to fix it? does anybody know if there is a video for it?

Hi, I had the same problem, tried to fix it with your method but my iphone 6 wont start up, it keeps reseting. One thing I noticed is that the plate inside had 6 screws, that extra screw was in the middle (I think to keep the 3rd cable from getting loose). Any advice of what I can do??

hey I found this a really easy and clear tutorial and I appreciate the efforts you've made to make this as simple as possible however after following these steps to an absolute T my phone screen is still showing no signs of life. In the recent months it had been showing the white and black screen every once in a while but today its just gone to black and even after following these steps there is no improvement. Will this work if I have two lines in the middle of the screen which dont let me use some letters? Sometimes they dissapear but I cant use the letters H, Y and V. Also sometimes the screen goes nuts for example the snapchat stories pass by themselves and stuff like that. Is this the same issue?

use the phone till the battery percentage drops to zero and then plug the phone on charging it might light up as usual i also had the same problem and siri was only responding and then when i plugged my iphone on charging next day the display was ok wait for atleast 1 day and then go for spending bucks on it

when you take off the screen, should the white stuff come of with it or just the screen

a great video, my iphone 6 was dropped in salt water about a month ago and ever since then it has had a small amount of vertical lines and the screen work every once in a while. by following the steps, do you think it should fix my phones problems even though it was dropped in water? Do you think the cables are damaged instead of loose in this circumstance? PLEASE HELP! thanks so much!

***** thank you for getting back to me so soon. great, ill give it a try then and ill let you know my results. im thinking for any reason, if the cables or senors/screen is permanently damaged its still an easy fix when i checked a few minutes ago, a whole new iphone screen is $50 on Ebay. i have one last question, where can i find those tools you have and would they be in stores or would i have to order them?
