My name is Taro Iwamoto. I'm a movement coach. This is a great reminder for paying attention to the body. I'm also applying it as a mental exercise now as a way to focus my thoughts. More helpful than meditation on a night when the monkey brain is to noisy.

If its not stretching, what are we doing here? Genuine question. Is i a body awareness exercise or is it doing anything else?

what makes this a stretching exercise or a practice of connecting with your body, learning about your body from the inside is simply your intention. You can do these movements simply mimicking my movements without observing your body from the inside. Why this is important is because every single person has a unique body and how their body moves is also unique, and so is their experience in their body.

i answered to another person's question above, but I restate it here: what makes this a stretching exercise or a practice of connecting with your body, learning about your body from the inside is simply your intention. You can do these movements simply mimicking my movements without observing your body from the inside. Why this is important is because every single person has a unique body and how their body moves is also unique, and so is their experience in their body. All my movement lessons on my channel can become stretching and strengthening exercises instead of becoming a means to connect with your body and learning about your body from the inside. This is why I suggest people practice movement following my verbal guidance with their eyes closed so they can bring their attention fully to their body. then they begin to experience themselves as their body.
