Girls, as much as I have been missing your podcasts, it is totally understandable that life pivots and we have to adjust. I am glad, however, that you have each other’s friendship to help work thru whatever changes are afoot. And Leslie, make time for yourself even if it’s only 30 minutes a day to bring you joy and peace.
Michelle, your concern for Leslie’s wellbeing is evident. “Thanks for Everything” choked me up a bit. Hope to see both you again sometime in better days. Michelle I’ll be watching your Knit Wit In The Sticks.
I’m always so happy to see a podcast from you two! Don’t worry about doing scheduled podcasts, do whatever you need to and if 15 minutes here and there is what you can do we’ll happily take it! Remember Leslie every storm runs out of rain. Praying for sunnier times for you soon.
Please forgive the lengthy comment ... I totally get what you guys are experiencing. In 2021 I started working virtually. While it's fantastic to work with my front door open, the radio on, a candle burning, surrounded by my pets ... I also work odd hours now and have odd days off. On those days all the other stuff needs to get done, and it has become so hard to be able to get together with my friends and family. I would hate to think that when I do, I would have to do a podcast. I, like many others, am glad for whatever you all put up. Your friendship should absolutely come first! Leslie, I also totally get that "clean slate" thing. I just moved last month, and had so many feelings like that when I started unpacking. So many things were tied to some very difficult times and I chose to donate those things that brought up any of those feelings. This is the first time I've ever moved further than the next county over, and I DID decide to have my new place feel like a clean slate. It feels good. Lastly I just went on a road trip with my sister to Georgia and Tennessee. I remembered your whipped cream vodka videos and we bought some while we were on that trip. We both loved it, and it's now our choice for our "sister drink" when we get together. lol
Thank you for the many, many hours of inspiration, laughs, life happenings, chickens to dogs, kids, to farm-life. May you both be blessed with peace, great times of friendship…until we see you again.
Eight years is a long time for podcasting, plus you both have gone the extra mile, through thick and thin, life changes, etc. etc. From the first episode to now, I have enjoyed each and every one. I can't help but feel a little sad, so I'll pull up my big girl pants until I give myself a wedgie and deal with it. Love you both, and wish you both all the good things in life and beyond. As soon as I saw the popper row counter idea I was on amazon looking at them. While I was browsing choices the cat jumped up on the desk and walked across my keyboard. I was just watching a past video of yours because I was missing you guys! When you mentioned seasons, we women seem to change season after season year after year…. and any time you can give “us” is greatly appreciated! Leslie I started my first half and half with linen quill and I’m thinking about you the whole time with your love of the pattern. I just learned the wrap and turn so I am thrilled with it as well. I already ordered more yarn to make another one and I haven’t even finished the first one…reminds me of the days when you would swoon over yours. What a fun podcast! I just started knitting and crocheting again. It's been a long time and I've been watching some tutorials on youtube. I have 2 popcorn tins that I found several unfinished projects in when looking for my hooks and needles. I came across your podcast and thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of your projects! I just bought some yarn to make a blanket for my first granddaughter and can't wait to get started. I'm practicing on a throw I started 10 years ago! I wish you both the best!
I am from Seattle area and found you during COVID. I believe you both were here to help me through the insanity of lockdown life that was very real in my community (CHOP)! You know, its like having that friend that you might not keep in touch with regularly and time goes by, and then when you do meet up, it's like you pick up where you last left off!. you guys are like that.... will miss you , but we all need time to get out stuff ( read Life) sorted out to move forward. About your fav blanket that is in distress, do you think that there is such a thing as a duplicate stich in Crochet? YOu know, like maybe you can just redo the stich over the damaged parts?
