Knife is a Sanrenmu B4-939 an all-metal framelock.
The black coating stonewashes to a nice textured grey appearance with highlights on the edges.
This video is mostly about how far you need to tear it down to get an even wash on all the visible parts.

Great job man! I have access to an industrial tumbler at my place of work. I've stone washed a few knives with great results, however, I did not protect the locking geometry as you did. Fortunately I haven't had any issues yet, but from now on I'll implant the tips in this vid. Thanks for the info!

Doing it like this might be overcautious. The wear is pretty limited. But it doesn't take much longer.

Nice video. I have not seen this one before. You did this stonewash on the exact same knife for me a while back. It turned out great. Blade centering and lockup were spot on as they were before the process. A few quick swipes on the Sharpmaker and the blade was nasty sharp again. I have received many favorable comments on that knife since you stonewashed it.

Another excellent vid - thanks for sharing. Do you think the type/make of tumbler is important? Is a cheaper model just as good for stonewashing? I was thinking of getting an RCBS tumbler, but maybe this is a waste and I should go for Lyman or maybe something even cheaper than that.

Dose stonewashing make the knife better or just a ascetic thing

Turned out nice! What tumbler and size media did you use?

JJ 4Ti Thanks! It's a "quick-n-ez" case tumbler I got on Amazon for pretty cheap. Media is triangular ceramic from Harbor Freight. They're about an inch in size.

Hi there did you put all the parts of the knife into the tumbler or did you stonewash the parts seperatly? Greets

Shadowman I put them in the tumbler all at once. If you're doing this having steel bumping against steel isn't a problem, the ceramic it's supposed to rub up against is way harder anyway.
