New to cycling and therefore new to your channel and I'm honestly so grateful for the summaries. You make the sport not only more accessible for people that can't watch a 5 hour stage every day but also more understandable for us noobs that are new to the sport. Thank you!!!
@@renzrenzrenzrenzrenz someone said he IS going to INEOS next season. They said they just read it somewhere so I asked where they read it. I've seen 3 other people saying he's going to INEOS also 🤘🏻🏴
The last time I checked it was not only Ineos who got beaten. All the other teams including UAE, Visma RedBull quickstep you name they all got beat. Stop the bias
@@daniluis7777 There were TWO Ineos riders in the final break, giving them a big advantage. They're also the team that has done nothing so far, so there's added pressure. Comprendes?
Same with Bardiani in the Giro. Helps of course to have prospects like Pellizzari and Castrillo but these teams deserve credit for how high their success rate is with actually getting in the break. When you look at IPT's troubles this Vuelta with a break hit squad you see it is not trivial.
This was my comment . . . Not many of us knew this lads name before this stage but his life has just changed!! A Spanish rider getting his first professional win on a mountain top finish at La Vuelta!! He wont be riding for Kern Pharma much longer!!! This is what I love to see in cycling. Lads that are making their mark in the sport!! Especially a win like this. First professional win and he did it at his home country's Grand Tour SMASHIN' LAD!!!! 🤘🏻🏴
@@Jvgl_2000 I've not watched today's stage yet but I guess I know who wins now😂. It's alright tho. I know better than to go online before I watch the days stage so it's my own fault. At least you didn't say anything about the GC race. Since his first win a few days ago I've heard many places that he is heading to INEOS next season so it seems like he's already moving up in the ranks 🤘🏻🏴
@@Jvgl_2000 well now hat I watched the stage this lad has just changed his life with 2 Grand Tour stage wins!! Not only that but they are both his ONLY CAREER WINS!! INEOS is supposed to be signing him from what I've been hearing 🤘🏻🏴
I know you take great pride in correctly pronouncing names... Mauro Schmid in Switzerland is actually pronounced "Shmeed" with a long "i" and not with a short one like in "Schmidt" as you (and people in Germany) say it. Great stuff as always.
I have commented on so many videos he was butchering "Meintjes" I spelled it out phonetically and everything, and whilst I am typing this comment, I suddenly hear him (unexpectedly) say his name CORRECTLY because he was in the top 10, insane coincidence!!
Any German speaker would pronounce Schmied with a [d]. There are names which look close however, like Schmitt, another common last name, wgich would be pronounced wirh a hard t at he end

Castrillo looks like he's gassed indeed but then again he spent a whole category 1 climb with a rampaging Carapaz like that as well 😂 Love that he won, beautiful victory. Revelation of the Vuelta for me.

@@tonywilliams1532 I e talked to 5 people now and there appears to be some truth to it. One person said they heard it on Spanish TV and another person said they read it so I'm starting to believe it's true 🤘🏻🏴
Maybe Soler knew he couldn't win it but could really mess with the rest while his compatriot could get away at the right moment on a course that suited him and take the win for Spain?
@@santiagobenites welcome to the club mate. YT is CONSTANTLY removing my comments. It happens ALL the time to me. It's ridiculous. I'll try the search and see what I come up with Cheers 🤘🏻🏴
@@ManWalksDogs @ManWalksDogs Markus Hoelgaard in arctic race of norway, he ended up going to trek and then went back to Uno-x this year. He does not have a contract for next year.
BORA put Denz, Gamper and Martinez in the break on Stage 10 and then did a full leadout into the climb so the team worked a lot. A shallow climb like the end here is very unlikely to crack O'Connor so you'd need bonies and a stage win to make it worthwhile and gain at best 20s. That is a lot of bullets to spend for little reward before a savage Stage 12. Remember Roglic will take 1min on the TT and it is very feasible he can take 2mins on Ancares.
That is asking a lot. Break formation was tough and this climb is a long, shallow drag until the last 2kms so being on the front would be a brutal effort. Can see how gassed Castrillo was by the end.
