I was literally so confused because the cover and the song didn't look at all like something Will Wood would make. I legit thought it was an updated version of I/ Me/ Myself until I actually listened and read the title again 💀 (This is super goofy, but I really hope nothing bad happens. Don't want a repeat of what happened to Joe's account)

The only reason I could see someone falling for this is because Will does tend to have his songs be very closely related, but the second you actually click on it you should be able to tell that Will would never make something so terrible

I believe the topic channels are ai powered , so it’s highly unlikely that an actual person actually put it on there. Likely that someone played around , made an ai song , mistyped the title and now it’s been picked up by the topic channel as « oh hey ! Will Wood song ! Let’s put that up here. » Apparently it’s very very difficult to remove it , so hopefully it’s brought to wills attention and he’s able to report it.

Naturally I freaked out and got on as fast as I could, at first I thought it was some extremely bizarre meta joke about AI generated art and it took me a bit to realize that it was just a copycat and an algorithm malfunction. Weird shit

RU-vid/RU-vid Music has a particular problem with categorizing artists and their music. So often bands or artists I listen to will have the same name or a similar name to another artist and their music will end up on the same page. Even with contacting support, they'll fix it, but that will only last a few days before it goes back to the way it was This has been a bigger issues with smaller bands and artists, but it doesn't surprise me that it would happen with Will Wood too

Oh thank goodness other people know about this song and I’m not crazy. I’ve known about AI generated music for a while but I had never seen it infect someone’s account before so I was very confused. It’s a little reassuring to know that this has happened to other artists, since it means this will probably resolve itself quick and painlessly like those other incidents did, but it’s annoying that this is a thing that happens now.

RU-vid's topic system, I've noticed especially with will wood, is very weird, like the entirety of the Camp Here & There soundtrack had the uploads replaced for one's with slightly difrent album art

as a musician, it does take longer to upload music to Spotify unless you give them a release date like a week into the future, so what's likely happened with joe Hawley, and might have happened with will, is that they uploaded it and released it on the same day, which means it will be on Spotify in around 2-7 days after the upload. but it goes to show how fast they're trying to get this song out lmao
