Cordless drill with a piece of rod that fits into a plastic tube, that also fits the valve stem. Lazy, but fast, and I didn't have to buy anything. Also, you have a hand free to apply more compound or oil since I didn't but actual valve grinding compound.
That was the first part of rebuilding an engine I learned. I worked as a mechanic for a taxi company and we had an old Buick with a 350 that wore out, so with some assistance from my drunken Journeyman mechanic supervisor I rebuilt everything in and on that engine. The drunken mechanic got fired a few weeks later for passing out on a school bus he was working on. Glad to see you alive and kickin
