I was born in 74. I’m an advanced guitar player. Lately, it’s become all about the song. On top of that, I’m a drum super fan who has worked on hands excessively. The details about the materials and the fit and finish of this kit keep me inspired Nick is the best. His like ability is inspiring. I wanna be involved in writing songs with him.

If there is a drummer that is thorough in reasons for what heads were used what sound to expect Nick you always seem to be as helpful and educational as possible and for a Sweetwater employee reminds me of my go to guy at Sweetwater Mason he is always great to both steer me in the right direction on gear I need but also explain why I should consider following his suggestions and it seems to be the Sweetwater way altogether. As always amazing video I've learned a lot switching you play and look forward to these videos. What overheads and kick mic were used in the making of this video?

I8". You could literally cut it in half and have double bass haha. This sounds great. But...I think once you get past 14" deep, you reach a point of diminished returns, and possibly some sound issues. And I avoid 22". I think a 20" or 24" can do it with shallower depths, and get better response/feel from your pedal. 24x14 and 20x10 are my favorites currently. 20x10 can cover alot of musical ground with the right heads and tuning.

Tama star drums are just in their own world. Sound much better than the other songs he has done videos with for his other songs with the sonor kit, Yamaha, dw, etc. Tama stars are just insane.
