So nice to see that your reaction was exactly as mine was… it’s almost too good, I can’t bear to hear it.

I totally agree with your feelings on the song. Breaks my heart in the best ways. His music really deserves more exposure.

He deserves it, indeed. I want to thank you again for the record. I listened to it yesterday and it was an elating experience. I read Robbie's philosophy about music was “soul over technique”, which in my opinion, couldn't be more accurate to describe why his music has the power it has. One of the most uplifting experiences I've had in my life, despite how hard some of his songs hit. But is a beautiful pain that reminds you that you still alive, and for that and every little thing, you become grateful. Maybe this is the reason why my favorite songs of Visions of the Country are those where Robbie sings. I just still can't believe his voice.

@@tonywhitburn No problem, dude. It's his guitar playing that he's mostly known for, and many people are turned away by his voice, but it's 100% the reason I love him so much and he's absolutely one of my favorite vocalists and biggest inspirations. The hardest his voice ever hit me was in his 20-minute piece Rhapsody in Druz from his album Zarthus. That piece is unbelievable. Every album I listen to uncovers a new facet of his singing and taste. I only hope someday his older albums will go back into print or even be streamable.

@@tonywhitburn What were your favorite songs, btw? Mine are probably Orphan's Lament and Rocky Mountain Raga.

Hey man, I love these videos. You seem to be willing to engage with the music with a depth most similar channels don't, and you always have really insightful feedback. I'm wondering if you've checked out any of the work of Phil Elverum (the microphones, mount eerie). The lyrics are amazingly deep and poetic, combined with a very unique recording style. My favorite album of his is the classic The Glow Pt. 2, and as for specific songs I'd recommend I Want Wind to Blow, or The Moon (I'd prefer the whole album, of course, but I understand that may be a lot to ask).

Has to be the whole album. Like with 'in the aeroplane over the sea' it's a complete piece
