I'm watching this video right before playing this level for the first time in my life. I never made it past Metropolis Zone, even at my best, cause I kept getting lost and those praying mantises and shooting stars are the worst! I just discovered maps online which has helped me with the few upper levels I've rarely/never played. Today might be the day I finally beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2 🥲
If you ask how i got that many lifes, play in the casino zone, go to a zone with a gambling pot, grab over 300 rings to get 3 lifes, then restart and repeat
Not tough tbh you can hit him once when robot first rises and you can hit him when he comes down and you can hit him when he takes a step back and when the hands come back to him if you do that that's 5 hits Edit: ik that's how I did the fight at least
I never knew you could attack from the front when I was younger & playing Sonic 2, had assumed I would get KO'ed from the spiked arms. Always went for the backside!
@@anto_el_pelotocinoXd There is also a way to dodge them. You need to lure eggman to land near the second pipe from the right (or third dont remember very well) then you should go to the right edge of the screen. That way the bombs cant hit you.
BAD MEMORIES D: 1. Get to death Egg when I am 7 or so 2. Lose all lives due to Both bosses being ass 3. Explain to Dad while crying why the Genesis is broken 4. Get forced to play on the NES as punishment
The ending of Sonic landing on Tails plane and flying away with the Flickies makes me think of when I FINALLY reached the end of the game after such a long while and its the end the credits made me think of New Year
This is such a good ending ❤ it makes me think of when it took so long for me to defeat the Death Egg Robot and I saw a party in a different neighborhood through my balcony and that’s when it all started the sky at that time was the same like in the stage background
Learn to do some slightly risky tactics. I get the hit on him when he falls down, and after that, instead of waiting for the phase to end, I wait for the attack to end. (Either he finishes walking or throwing hands.) Then I get a running start, jump over the hands before he blasts off and get 2 hits in one cycle. I play it safely, but not too safe. Takes so much longer the way you’re doing it. Sorry if this came off of as genuine anger.
With tails u can fly over him an hit him on the jet pack just be careful when the flame comes out if touched it will kill you! FYI if anyone plays with Tails Ha❤
It don’t make no sense. Why all the rings and supersonic vanish in the game on the boss level I cannot beat the whole game without supersonic and rings
its actually really precise where you can hit the death egg robot you cant touch the arms, fire of the jetpack, or the legs theres some real speedrun tech you can do
