I can't decide which moment was my favorite: When you accidentally softlocked yourself with that (admittedly clever) attempt to bypass the cages in Security Hall, or when the game pranked you with the arrow pointing to the cage that contained *nothing* xD. I cackled during both moments on the live.

I've literally never hit the ramps on the truck chase even with hundreds of hours playing on it so ya I probably couldn't play this mod lol

At 11:00 I would have used magic hands. Magic Hands ability doesn't have many places to be of use, but in situations like this it is underrated as an option.

there is the fact that Rouge needs the melody to get one of her items, nobody else needs o do that, plus I though I might mention that Sonic & Shadow are the inly characters who can get the melody in game, everyone else has to revisit levels to get theirs

Have you ever tried Better Miles for SA2 ? It makes mechless Tails an actually good character and you can summon the Tornado at any time For SA1, there is a Klonoa mod that also ports gameplay elements (like picking up basically any enemy and using them to jump higher), also there's the beta Windy Valley, which is completely different and way more fun

At least you're "Living and learning" what to do to get through the stages while attempting to do that with this mod that makes things harder, installed into the system that you are playing Sonic Adventure 2 on.😉 Good luck on getting better at it than you already are by practicing.

in frontiers’s defense, the rails are used in some creative platforming challenges in the dlc, but they’re used more as movement objects than actual challenges themselves, huge improvement over rail grinding in any non sa2 sonic game(heroes and shadow don’t get a pass because they suck and lava shelter is the only level to use rails in a cool way) also there’s rail launching but that’s not exactly skill based lmao

man the rail discussion, i was so upset when i found out the rereleases of sa2 made the control so sensitive it's nigh impossible to control and sonic teams solution was to just remove the leaning mechanic. i won't pretend i was ever good at them, but it was just so fun leaning into the curves and having what would otherwise be an autosection have force feedback with crouching not just acting like a boost but increasing the risk vs reward of manual control. like the only advantage of the simplified system is rail switching doesn't slow you down but like, just switch faster or do what the boost games do and allow the quickstep to be used to switch.

Say what you want about the boost formula, but Sonic Unleashed Hard Mode is BRUTAL to the point of being unfair. In fact, it's mostly unfair

Spark the Electric Jester 3 proves momentum based rails can work and be incredible, and that Sonic Team just weren’t skilled enough to figure it out, lol. Also, sad you didn’t show off Egg Quarters because it’s one of the hardest levels in the mod in my opinion (and that’s saying a lot coming from me because it’s usually my favorite level)
