Honestly, the fact that I almost singlehandedly caused the entire compilation of glitches in the boss fights and the creation of Eggball just by asking if they worked with the mod in chat is still mindblowing to me. We discovered glitches that nobody was even able to access in the game’s entire history before the stream. GOD, this one was amazing to experience live, and I’m so glad I got to be there for most of it 😭

When Tails was shown with his eyes missing during that battle, it also looked like the foot of his mech was scraching an ear in the same style as any real-life dog or cat would do that in. Lol. The rest of this mod is 100% both cool and hilarious too! Your alteration of Eggman's theme song was soo funny. "I am the Egg-ball, that's what I am, I am the Egg-ball, I've got the master plan. Lol! If you still like riling people up, I actually made a meme a while back to do just that. It's that "Every masterpiece has its cheap copy" meme, where Mad Space is the "masterpiece" and some level in Super Mario Galaxy is labeled the cheap copy. No sane person would genuinely believe that it was serious, but a significant number of Nintendo's remaining fans aren't sane enough to figure it out.
22:15 Far fetched theory, but maybe when you load in the game scans (or something with the code) and sees if the characters are in the level properly for things to load in when you get to them. Since Tornado/Mech-less Tails isn't how he's properly played that code is absent and the game isn't able to load in the power-up (I assume they only load in when the characters are in their regular playable state and all characters likely share that same line of code as it happens in Metal Harbor and Pumpkin Hill as well because the ring is gone at the start), then once you switch to Mech Tails the way he should be, the game thinks "Oh everything's normal now" and loads the power-up in because that line of code is now there. Maybe the modder didn't add a bypass to this or something else is making the game go "Something isn't right here..." and it leads to the game crashing when you exit mech-mode because it gets confused I could be *way* off but that's just my theory
Im sure you're on the right track, the only thing is mechless tails CAN normally grab power ups. Any character can grab any power up (and the animation is often really funny, the last eggman video i uploaded has one) But for some reason specifically this mod creates this problem.
In honesty, the upgrades doesnt seem to be an issue with the plane, it seems to swap mech tails and mechless tails with the plane being a new item / ability and thus it loads the upgrades for mech tails which mechless tails cannot collect
Mechless tails can normally grab any upgrade without this mod. Only using this mod do they dissapear. The animations of mechless characters picking up power ups is also hilarious lmao. The eggman video I posted before this has them i think if you wanted to see what it looks like

Might have to google and do some troubleshooting man, its hard to help with tech issues without seeing what you're seeing. The only issue I know how to fix is if the game is playing at double speed, it means you need to adjust your refresh rate on your monitor.
@@SirGrimly I only shitpost with silly things. Like I made a tiktok saying unleashed and generations is bad and im still getting angry comments a year later lol. Never with anything that actually matters, I just think its fun poking the hornets nest sometimes lol.
@@EpicDuskk Being getting bad at Unleashed being called bad is definitely weird to me (So used to people always shitting on the Werehog levels even though they are inoffensive... and the rest of the game is still pretty good imo). Also, is now a bad time to bring up that I actually think Generations is my least favorite of the boost era games? XD (haven't played Forces yet, so can't have an opinion there).

Mech stages were always good and I will not accept this slander 😡 Racking up big ass combos and trying to chain them all together is satisfying as hell. Granted speed stages are still the best, but mech stages are like the side of fries to complete the meal.
There is a mod that lets you play as a chao actually, but its just a skin so idk if I'd do a whlle video like this. Maybe just show it off on a stream and make a short of it
