Yeah, the word, “power” gets drown out by the music. But for Sonic, he gets cut off because the timing of the lines remains the same in Japanese. So the lines that are longer in English, tend to cut off or overlap. Much like Sonic’s line, “I’ll use your technique” Were he only says, “I’ll use your-“ then gets cut off by his own voice line to say “Chaos Control”
@@onorebakasama The reason is because the "I'll use YOUR technique!" and "Chaos Control!" lines have separate triggers/activations. Once Sonic's relative position is too far away from Shadow, he will begin the primary teleport sequence and Line 1 will be triggered, but if Sonic's position surpasses a second maximum thresh-hold, it immediately triggers the secondary teleport sequence and Line 2 will be immediately triggered.
I remember that he would get cut off if you kept moving forward as he was speaking, but if you stopped after his lines started he would say "I'll use your technique... CHAOS CONTROL!!!"
Trust me, I know from personal experience that it is really hard to act out that scene (with Sonic and Shadow voices and everything) when you are the only one doing so. However, even though cutting yourself off and switching voices at the same time is exceedingly difficult, getting to yell “I’ll make you eat those words!” at yourself makes it entirely worth it.

You can hear both Sonic and Shadow's(if either one is your opponent) full recovery lines if you're moving slow enough as they fall iirc from my own experience. If you move too fast as they're saying the lines, they'll interrupt their own lines.
You'd be shocked how many people think he does, though I should have changed the title to specify he doesn't interrupt himself during Chaos Control, as he can interrupt himself when using Chaos Spear.
The Character Select mod, all you have to do is hold left on the d-pad when selecting a scene. The controls still work on Character Select Plus. A=2p Costume B=2p Character X=Mechless Eggman Y=Mechless Tails L=Mech Tails? R=Mech Eggman? Up=Rouge Down=Knuckles Left=Sonic Right=Shadow I think that's how it worked, kinda forgot what L and R did for sure, they either work as described or vice versa... The version I used was really buggy back then, so it would crash a lot. In fact it crashed shortly after this video was recorded.
Yuki Tran By normal means absolutely, but the Disable Upgraded Models mod removes them visibly, but maintains their functions, that mod was made by Sonic Retro tech member MainMemory, who also made the SA2 Mod Loader, SADX Mod Loader, S&KC Mod Loader, and most recently the Sonic Mania Mod Loader!
Sonikku A Not too sure about this, but it may have something to do with the way the voice clips are compressed that does that. But there are plenty of points in all versions where the voices get cut off.
Oh, definitely! Especially those damn ear-bleeding jets and rockets. I remember someone saying that was due to some faux-Surround Sound setup in the game, but don't remember who said it...
Yeah, the DC only outputs in Mono/Stereo. I believe that the GC version had support for Dolby Digital (but it wasn't a selectable option, GC had it natively, I think.), and since the HD version is Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, it may be that being butchered by the porting process.
@@pudding7648 I don't think anyone's bothered to record doing this. I've searched but haven't found anyone trying it out. Which, makes sense most people would just want to beat the boss and move on. But basically if you keep on running the ground in front of you will give way and break apart into smaller platforms, Sonic and Shadow run off the edge and both fall to their deaths. In the end, it results in losing a life, but it's still kinda cool to see.
