Except, Sonic as a series is inherently goofy and wild. Think about it: a humanoid blue hedgehog that talks like some 90’s cool kid rapper zooms around saving animals and various other beings from being turned into robots by a tubby mad scientist. I do agree that Sonic should be taken in a different path, but I’m not sure you and I think it should go down the same path. I personally feel Sonic should stop trying to take itself too seriously and should instead try embracing what a joyride it is.

@@thoughtaddict2739 I think unleashed and adventure 2 did it best. I commend unleashed in particular for taking a path like a lot of kirby games do: lighthearted fun for the first 80% of the game, then go from 0-60 in the climax

Ian Bowman None of the Sonic Adventure "Remasters" have actually be Remastered. All they did was upscale the resolution and change the code differences between consoles. It really isn't that much work compared to actually remastering it. If they really remastered it, we would be seeing the models from Sonic Generations or Sonic Unleashed (360/PS3) as well as a bunch of bug fixes and mechanic overhauls like the boss battles. Also the voices would have been re-done as well. So no, this isn't a Remaster. It's not an HD Remake even. It's just a cheap port of Sonic Adventure DX from Gamecube.

They did "remaster" Jet Set Radio for consoles, and I'd hardly call this a remaster either (this IS the DX version despite the SA1-esque branding present without DLC). This port (and the 360 and Steam) ports are horrendous. dreamcastify.unreliable.network

Gotta Play Fast I only played Sonic Adventure recently and I haven't done much yet, but I've seen walkthroughs of other users playing this game, including BrainScratchComms who played the very original Sonic Adventure on an actual DreamCast.
