Knowing how this game was quite hated, I find it quite underrated about this game's music. The songs are so upbeat to calm songs like this. So hard to describe, just.. emotional. "Tomorrow we'll be waiting for you," Sonic :).
I like the ending song, sonic music has almost always been influenced by contemporary music in my opinion, but it doesn't evoke any emotion with just random stages being shown in the background and nobody around.
And you no doubtly heard by now The Lead Level designer only has experince with Lost World, and the other two have no experince with any sonic game. This game was doomed from the start
Just replying to the whole thing to avoid misinformation. The only real newbies are the two level designers, as many were gone after Lost World and the layoffs in 2015. Also, some were even gone after Generations. Now, the "Lead Level Designer" experience was not only in Lost World; that's a lie. See below: segaretro.org/Jyunpei_Ootsu The highest position, second only to the producer is the director AND lead game designer, which was Morio Kishimoto. He was not new; see below: segaretro.org/Morio_Kishimoto The Senior Art director, Sachiko Kawamura was the art director since Sonic Unleashed, and was that for Colors, Generations and Lost World before Forces. So, again, another leading position that's NOT new. Takayuki Okada, lead planner for this game had experience in several Sonic games. See below: segaretro.org/Takayuki_Okada Tomoya Ohtani was even the sound director, who did that for Colors and Generations. All things considered, the missing people are the ones who made the most serious contribution to Sonic Generations, as the person holding the two most powerful positions (below really only Iizuka) is Morio Kishimoto, who (as you will see from the link I provided) held those same positions for Colors, and had no part in Generations. The missing person is the lead game designer of Sonic Generations, Yoshinobu Uba. That's a leading position. I think he left as he was last seen (as far as I could find) as a system designer on Sonic Lost World (Wii U). Now, the other very important person missing from Generations was Hiroshi Miyamoto, director of that game. See blow for what he has become after Generations: segaretro.org/Hiroshi_Miyamoto Due to this, and looking at director/lead game designer, it's base game was Colors, not even Generations at all. Keep in mind that level designers will never make up an entire team; the team is much bigger than that, and the people on the lead either make or allow such decisions. If I must be honest, I did not believe it was a whole new team, and I'm happy I did my research.
Despite how bad the game is to people, I think it was ok and that it could have been worse, they delivered what they said for the most part. Sonic is hopefully gonna change its formula and improve to be spectacular... Hopefully...
The main issue for me is what the game is considering it was released on PS4 / One. Sonic Forces would have been good as a Wii game. It's level design is similar to Sonic storybook games. But as a PS4 / One game it's underwhelming.
4:42 feel like nostalgic strike. There's just plain green hill zone with no character present but it's every player who running wild and free in there.
It was our fault that this game was released in this state, it was securing us that all will be okay so that's why many of we get enthusiasm this game was meant to conmemorate the franchise 25th anniversary but talking how it was released l don't want to talk about that,my point is you don't think something like this happened? When 06 was released the franchise was tarnished when unleashed came around was received something similar like forces obviously unleashed promised a new adventure with sonic as protagonist and so much effort was put into unleashed something that forced was barely done (no offense to those who worked in forces though) but most didn't valorate all that this game offered to us im sure all who criticized regreted about it was great unleashed was more polished than the previous games at that point the werehog was a nice addition and the boost gameplay was exciting amd the music as it should be is great, colors and generations almost restored people's trust on sonic but then sonic boom rise of lyric came around and suffered the same fate as 06 was heavily criticized by how it was released, then mania came and people who played like it so much but then forces arrived shortly after and was received with mixed,my point is All sonic games with great potential are destined to end with mixed reception?
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful this song is. It's so underrated. Even though forces was mediocre, this song makes playing the game so worth it.
This game is better than sonic 06 and sonic boom but I think lost world is better because I fail to see how people think that a game that's almost completely automated is better than a game that at least has actual level design
*+DiamondzZ 2* No it wasn't. The level design is extremely lackluster compared to Generations and Unleashed. You can like what you like, but in my eyes you have extremely low standards.
Modern chemical plant and mortar canyon was actually amazing. Egg gate was also pretty good. Most of the avatars stages were open and pretty good. All of the tag team stages were great. The classic sonic stages were kinda meh. It's not the best game but they had a decent start with the design. Now that they're complete with Hedgehog Engine 2, which ended up looking amazing, they will have more time to work on the game itself.
I think they've done a pretty good job, considering they've never worked on a Boost game before. They defininetly have a lot of room to improve, but I think it was a great start for them.
*ENGLISH CHARACTER VOICES* Roger Craig Smith as Sonic the Hedgehog Mike Pollock as Dr. Eggman Colleen O'Shaughnessy as Miles "Tails" Prower & Charmy Bee Travis Willingham as Knuckles the Echidna & Zavok Cindy Robinson as Amy Rose Kirk Thornton as Shadow the Hedgehog & Orbot Wally Wingert as Cubot Keith Silverstein as Vector the Crocodile Karen Strassman as Rouge the Bat Vic Mignogna as E-123 Omega Liam O'Brien as Infinite Quinton Flynn as Silver the Hedgehog Matthew Mercer as Espio the Chameleon
Wait, so... Who actually wrote this game? SEGA has "Writers, Japanese story and script" (Eitaro Toyada), "Writers, story and script" (Makoto Goya) and "Writers, English story and script" (Ken Pontac, Warren Graff). But the story is the same in every language, right? The dialogue might be different because of localisation, but it's still the same story, the same plot points and characters. So, what are they, then? Cowriters? Translators? Localisation leads? Script adaptation-ers?
The music was great but since the game sucked people can't take it serious. The only things that made this game good was the Music and the "character creator" Without them than it would have been Sonic Boom all over again...
Unskippable credits is lame and that final boss was so bad, like bruh. This game makes me want to replay Colors final boss and Generations for better Classic/Modern Sonic.
Why is it so long dude im waiting here i get it u got a good soundtrack but like chill i dont need 10 minutes to watch credits i just wanna play the Shadow Episodes
While listening to this I feel like this game didn't deserve suck a beautiful ending. The game was over hyped and was cliche asf and could've been better....on top of that where chaos as a boss??!
The credits song kinda reminds me of the song used in the Final Fantasy 13 commercial. Sounds alright. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U1GydYc3eVo.html But yeah, the moment this credits started rolling I was just left with a disappointing face as I stared at the credits... Absolute disappointment of a game. Wow. 5/10
