Sonic Gather Battle VIRUS, The First REAL Gaming Creepypasta - The Many Myths Of Gaming
Sonic Gather Battle appeared to be a normal Sonic The Hedgehog fangame, however, upon closer inspection, it seems that a deadly and creepy virus DRM was hidden in its code all along. Could Sonic Gather Battle Virus be the first REAL Gaming Creepypasta? It appears that this creepy Sonic The Hedgehog fangame might actually rival the spooky-factor of popular Creepypasta, Sonic.exe!
Either way, in this video, I'll be talking about the entire story of the Sonic Gather Battle Virus!

Actually, someone edited the code in the game and made it safe for the people who play now. So, you can still technically play the game without your ip address getting stolen.

There's a way to make the creator suffer, just like how someone recreated the deep web game sad Satan and put it on gamejolt (it was a free of viruses version) someone out there can literally recreate sonic gather battle, pretty sure the creator will lose his shit about that and will go nuts.

I got a few more information regarding the game and everything else tho The game isnt a virus. It uses Whatsmyip for multiplayer and Opendrive for the sake of updating. DRM utilizes available microsoft functions like FindWindow as confirmed by SFGHQ. It stopped closing browsers after an update in December and is in a stage of rebuilding for the removal of DRM

Great video! It honestly sucks that this game has a virus. Is there possibly a way to make the game available for download and remove the virus so it's safe to play? It looks kind of good, but Id rather not loose my computer because of some dumb little game XD

They made this decision because when it was first a mod, people already hacked the game, when they did what we know today, they wanted no one to steal or change their product. The way they did this is wrong, but it is sad considering they did work on throught to make the game.

From what I can tell, yes, it's just every update after that. Someone recorded footage of themselves testing the older build and it worked fine.

From what I heard, actual working builds are hard to come by since a lot of people started deleting their copies once this came out since (obviously) nobody wanted to have their data stolen over edited sprites.

IP Can be traced to your location provided you're not using a proxy/VPN. That's why when people dox others, one of the big things they do is snatch an IP from Skype

At the end of the day I think it all comes down to delivery, this isn't exactly a new situation, but rather an older, odd story that's worth reminiscing on. Was it bad that people's data was at risk? Absolutely, but this series is comparable to a show, meant to entertain, so I told the story, added my remarks and opinions, and poked a little fun at the creator, and to be honest, I think it's worth being optimistic now that the creator faced the consequences, and we can all look back on a weird and interesting story.

Don't take this the wrong way dude, but at the moment I'm really trying to focus on growing my own content and strengthening my preexisting connections with other content creators in the community, but that's not to say that you won't have some awesome videos up your sleeve in the future :) Currently, I'm talking with a couple other channels about starting something pretty cool that could help channels like yours if/when it launches, so while I'm not really open to collabs at the moment, keep in contact and stay updated with future announcements.
