I have small braid locs. It resonated with me that knotting the hair is addictive. When I first tried it I did way more than I initially intended. I thought that I was going to hate how it felt in my hair but after I washed it, the knots got more compact and felt less prominent. Also, my hair was growing outside of my loc bases so, I tried the knots to integrate the loose hair back into the loc. The knots have now all perfectly integrated the loose hair that makes the roots stronger.

This is amazing to be found at this point of my sister loc journey where i need and desire a change to my life style. Thank you for being present. I am transitioning to knotted locs. I want the freedom to not spend hours in retightening appointments. I want the freedom to let my locs do what it do when they want to🇺🇸

I started my locs with two strand twist over 2 yrs ago. I remember intuitively to put a couple knots in some of my locs to keep them unraveling. I had no idea what I was doing or how they would turn out but just assumed the shedded hair would end up compacting into it. I forgot I had did it until watching this video so I started going thru my locs and sure enough I cannot find the knot. This has me so hyped to completely transition from interlocking and take matters into my own hands. I LOVE my Loctician but I HATE reties because it has become increasingly painful with being tender-headed from minimum manipulation to the scalp. And it always feel that the retightening is too taut. I usually end up coming home afterwards jumping in the shower and letting water loosening it up a bit. And my other concern is the loc tool pulling and tugging on my roots which I know it’s not good for the hair & im sitting there the whole time squinting and tensed up. I would love to go a couple months instead of reties every 5 weeks. THIS definitely has me considering things.

I still go to a sister loctician for my retire, but I’ve been putting knots in my lots from the first and second year I’ve had my Locs. I am 6 1/2 years in. I found that it helps certain locks stay in place without changing and unraveling. So throughout my journey, I have wondered if those few would cause issues, but it never did. I found that my locs locked faster. So it’s kind of cool to rather run across your video. Thank you for sharing.

I have been researching knotted locs!! Thank you!! I have had my microlocs since July of last year! I have CCCA and don’t care to come in every 4 weeks. I had been doing well with 8 to 12 weeks without losing any locs!

I'm interested in switching to knotted locs. The retighting schedule has been too rigid and created hair loss in the crown area, after being sisterlocked for seven years. When i would push the time between retighs, the cost was double.

Thank you for this video. I am concerned about my locs due to the thinning and sore head after a reti and the lack of water and oil that I have been told to put on my hair. I have never had hair problems and I am so concerned I was considering cutting my locs off. Thank you for this video I feel like I have the answers that I was searching regarding my locs. This is very interesting. I've always known i would like to switch to another loc method eventually bc of the retightening schedule, but I'm only 10mo in so I would definitely have to wait. Would def like to see a bit more.
