I love things like this. It was ahead of its time. People are still trying to find ways to mount mac minis to the back of TVs now. Alone with android TV mountings or Mini pc mounting.

We had a bunch of monitor mounted mini's at my old school, they secured them with metal zip ties, and IT liked them because they could just remove the mini instead of taking the whole setup.

1:34 HP VS series monitor (probably a vs17). I had one of those in my IBM Aptiva E video, but had to throw that out a year or two later due to moisture damage, in turn a big problem with vintage PC stuff and other hobbies/obsessions here in Singapore and some other countries, after which I learnt my lesson and now have a dehumidifier and large dry cabinet.

My main mac is a 2007 mac mini g4 I love seeing accessories like this one, who knows and I end up buying one too

I see you struggling to get the Mac mini in the frame, I just hope you can get it out without much struggle if that is truly a super tight squeeze.

Thinking the reason they want the MacMini loaded sideways is on account of being able to use the DVD/CD drive more comfortably. That and being able to access the power button in back of the Mini...

I'm actually currently using exactly the same model of Mac Mini, as my 2009 iMac is suffereing a knackered graphics card at the moment - though I've got my monitor balanced atop the Mac Mini, which initself is sitting on an external 3.5" hard drive enclosure/USB/Firewire hub of the same size (though not as tall). It's a great add-on. I've heavily upgraded the Mac Mini itself, by putting in a much faster Core 2 Duo, a much bigger hard drive, and I swapped the CD writer/DVD reader for a DVD writer. Those VESA mounts are a great idea though, and you can see why they'd be popular - especially in schools and colleges. I've seen similar vertical docks for Macbook and Macbook Pros, so you can hook them up to a monitor and keyboard and use as a desktop Mac, too. The one thing I;m wondering about the way you've orientated that Mac Mini though, it that the optical drive is going to be at the top, and I'm wondering how that'll fare when it comes to ejecting discs.

My 1080p Lenovo monitor does have screw mounts on the back. You probably should have gotten something like that.
