Wasn't a good idea to ignore Primes son when he came to that camp. These boomer coaches will soon be forced out. Kids won't want to play for them when they can play for people like prime
I just gained a lot of respect for this man. In this high pressure environment, immediately after the game, he remained gracious in defeat, resisting the baiting of the media. TCU will be fine with him at the helm.
Share the link for the interview you watched. I’m 4 mins in and I’ve heard him blame pretty much every player by position. TCU has turned into a pumpkin. They deserve it all too.
He constantly blamed the 2 picks, the missed FG, and poor tackling by the entire defense (and while there was some of that as players do get tired after a while, but most of the success by the Colorado offense was because of them executing) for the game being lost. I'll bet his QB, kicker, and defensive guys feel as if he's the classiest man in all of Texas. LOL!
@@FZappa20 Players are very critical of themselves as it is. But do you even understand the point that was being made with that statement (i.e. that the coach was NOT being as "classy" as you claim) and was specifically blaming each of those players by position for the Ioss? 🤨🙄
@alakbar7870 I clearly did not hear it that way. I rewatched the first minute and all I hear is praise for Colorado. If he went on to critique his players, he was being honest. Honesty and crediting others is classy to me
That offensive coordinator was on fire with the play sheet … every play worked except a few runs and the only pass plays that didn’t work were dropped .. stellar performance
Great coach with a wonderful sense of humor. He says it the way it is and gives credit to Colorado..awesome sportsmanship..thanks coach...go coach sanders
Truly appreciate TCU coach for being honest, humble, and respectful in defeat. Also, I believe TCU overlooked Colorado and learned a very important lesson to never overlooked your opponent and be prepared to play hard and give 100 percent for four quarters!!
This coach acknowledged that his guys (the team) felt they were too good to even play Colorado, kudos to him for bringing this up because we all saw what the out come was. Colorado went out and did the job they had training, preparing for and believed in themselves. I have to add those boys from Florida are just different including Coach Deion, my son from Cali played college ball in the South and he said, mom I don't know what's in the water in Florida but those guys can out run and out play just about everyone and he wasn't joking. Congratulations Coach Deion and the Colorado team and organization
And Prime said only a percentage of his team truly believed at the TCU game. He said they came to him after a ND sad now we believe. Whoa!!! Now you have 100% believing they can win. Spooky!!! I'm betting for the Nebraska game and all games after that. I won a bet with TCU. I've been 100% since everyone dogged Prime and his 80 something sons out!!! 😂🏈💯
Such An Incredible Game, Congratulations To Both Teams And Coaching Staff, Congratulations Colorado Buffs, Such Professionalism, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter,J Horn, D Edward's, Shilo Sanders, The Whole Team, Definitely Came To Dominate, Blessings To You All , And Thank You For Showing This Video.
Sonny is a GREAT COACH and TCU is a GREAT TEAM. They were just up against something no team could really ever prepare for because EVERYONE wrote them off!
@@rickjoyce9272 they WERE covering, Shedeur and his receiving corps are just that great. EVERY practice they've had, they've had to try and catch against TRAVIS HUNTER. You don't think that would make you HAVE to be perfect?? People don't believe me now, but wait until about game 6 - everything you saw in the TCU game will happen, except far worse 😆
@@willh69Shaduer played the game of his life, Travis probably did also and they only won by 3 points. If one single play went different TCU would have won. You cannot expect Shaduer to throw 510 yards every game or for them to win every close game they play. Look back at your comment when the seasons over. It’s not gonna play out the way you think it is. Colorado is much improved but having no defense and no run game isn’t gonna cut it.
@@harthart7529 Shedeur played what you could class as a "normal" game. Not sure why you think that is special, it's what he always does. Travis also dropped 2x easy Touchdowns, which won't happen again - so add 14 PLUS he dropped an interception probably a pick 6 so add another 7 PLUS Khairi Mains got held on that first touchdown to TCUs RB which would normally be called so -7 from your score So you end up with basically Colorado being 66-38, which is an absolute disaster of a score for TCU. TCU is just lucky Colorado made those mistakes otherwise the result would be....EVEN WORSE!!!
TCU didn’t expect to get smacked in the mouth by a “lesser” team. So TCU smacked CU back and said, “do you know who I’am” Colorado smacked them again and said, “you don’t recognize who we are now” Then it was a fight of will vs will and TCU was shocked and couldn’t fathom how much more will and desire to compete this CU team has. Great game of resilience by both teams. But more so by Colorado wit a bulls eye on their back to fail.
Shout out to Colorado’s conditioning coaches, both teams can score points, tighten up on the defenses, still along season, sometimes a team can Will a win
True, but no way can he maintain that the whole season. The Colorado coaches have to cut down his workload. He plays both sides almost the entire game in 100 degree heat??
Coach knows it should have been a win and took ownership of mistakes as a good coach does and gave credit to Colorado for playing well and not giving up. Will be an interesting and exciting season.
I see some people on IG saying hes not giving credit and making excuses. Will someone PLEASE tell me where he makes excuses🤔 He gave Deion, the staff, the training staff AND the players their due recognition! Class act from what I see!
This is what real coaching looks like no bad words to the other team , recognized where his team went wrong , said what they needed to work on good job coach 💯‼️
EXACTLY!!!!! TCU's ATTITUDE about playing a team that had a new coaching staff, a lot of players from the transfer portal, their first game playing together couple with this, "we're ranked #17" attitude sealed their fate before the ball was kicked off. This was the perfect trap game and TCU fell into Colorado's trap!!!
Coach did a good job of not diming out his players (and coordinators) for an embarrassing loss . . . this may have been worse then the drumming by Georgia
I think this speaks volumes on multiple levels 1 TCU Coach seems like a great guy congratulating and talking high of the opponent after a “big” loss in opening week 2 spoke highly of the Colorado players and respectfully 3 Deion and Colorado must also be respectful bc you don’t get respect without giving it. Big ups to TCU head coach 🫡
What a gracious guy. My played for the University of Colorado under national championship football team in 1990. I know tiny bit about college football I guess I should say. This is a gracious man and I would be proud to call him my coach
Great game TCU from a buffs fan. Travis Hunter is not only a generational football player hes a generational athlete.. he’s the type to run 20 full gashers and be first every time by a lot and be dancing the whole time because his endurance and stamina is out of this world.. and then walk into a gym and dunk from the free throw line.
Mr Sykes can see you are a good coach , your acknowledgement that the CB were better prepared more excited as you said to win ,i like your breakdown, still learning about this game , Great upset for your team but well done to all, back to the drawing board.👍🏾🇬🇧
That CU offense is going to run up some points. The defense is the issue. But CU is going to make some good teams look bad. This year is going to be fun. If you think about it Prime has played every part of the game. Defense, offense and special teams on a HOF level. He’s teaching that to those kids. Try to wrap your head around that for a sec.
As someone who supported TCU Last year as a Christian University program : STOP pretending you just lost the game: both teams made good plays and bad plays . TCU is a great team and will do well this year but Colorado is ready to surprise everyone and this wasn't a fluke win for them as Prime does have the experience and knowledge of a good Head coach with a Good staff.
Such an exciting game to watch. TCU did not make it easy for Colorado. They wanted to win this game… Colorado made super clutch plays to seal the deal.
Wouldn't be too discouraged if I was TCU, although this pretty much screws their playoff chances, but honestly this should serve as the motivation for the rest of the season for that team.
It does not totally if Colorado does well this season specifically beating Oregon and or USC. It will validate their loss in conjunction with them winning out which they are capable of
He said he did not have his team prepared for them, but how on earth CAN you prepare for a team where it is their first came of the season, first time the coach ever coached a game there, with 70 new players on the roster?
TCU was Outclassed on All Sides, New Coach New Communication Skill Set, watch his interviews and apply Critical Thinking and Dissect Professor Primes Philosophy, really a Master Class of Communication.
TCU’s dose of reality continues to hit them hard. Bama should have had their spot in the playoff last year after this team lost to Kansas state but the committee wanted some diversity and gave it to a team that couldn’t handle playing real SEC teams. Now tcu continues to learn they’ve always been mediocre
TCU coach is trying to explain how his team that was favored at home by 20 points lost to a Colorado team that won 1 game all of last year and has an entirely new team this year made up of almost all transfers.!! This is a disgraceful loss for TCU!
It was back and forth and your team played their butts off just like Colorado. Colorado wanted it more... that's it and yes they had Hunter and Sanders on the field and Coach Prime.
He said in a nice way the preparation was there but the expectation was different than expected. There were mistakes on both sides of the ball with each team. He is a good coach and gave credit not excuses they will be a different team after this.
I think it was a great win for CU but this is not last year's TCU. I think by end of October, this win or loss will be put into perspective. I predict CU beats Nebraska by 28.
Coach its any given day. Youre a great coach and your team is a good team. you scored 42 points and normally thats enough to win. good job coaches on both teams
