Sony FX30 Dubai Timelapse from Dusit Thani Hotel

This is a quick timelapse that I did using my Sony FX30 shooting from my hotel bedroom while doing Venice workshops in Dubai. Nothing special, but I had a good view, so why not? I used the cameras built in photo time lapse mode and a Sony 12-24mm GM lens. Used the "P" program mode allowing the camera to set the aperture and shutter speed automatically. Thanks Tim for the lens loan (I only had my 18-105 which wasn't quite wide enough)!

Hey bro hope all is well love your work. I have a question about the fx9 When you say expose skin tones at 70 percent 60 percent ect. How do you know what percent you are at? Is there a meter in your camera or something? Do you mean the zebra settings section?

zebra settings. there you can select your exposure measurement.

Very nice Alistair - I am just thinking of getting the FX30 - how is the Active Stabilisation - is it good enough to replace a Gimbal possibly used in conjunction with Sony Catalyst?

if you're going to use the catalyst browse you're gonna have to turn off all the camera stabilizations. I use it for family trips and don't carry a gimbal with me. I must say it's really good but you will have a hard time in the edits. because what you expect to see from the camera is different when you stabilized it in post it crops a lot. I will suggest for paid jobs don't rely on the catalyst browse use a gimbal but for personal projects yes its good. I also use fx30.
