For a long time I used an AudioTechnica turntable to play my vinyl records on, but recently I switched to the Sony PS-LX310BT Bluetooth Turntable Record Player to listen to my LP's on. The main benefit of this turntable over other options is that it allows you to listen to your vinyl records via bluetooth to any bluetooth headphones, earbuds, speakers, etc. I personally still use it mainly with corded speakers, but it is very nice to have the option to listen either way. My main reason for getting this model over others was the ease of use and setup and the overall minimal and modern design. Had this delivered today. I wanted it to listen to second hand Wagner recordings, purchased from EBay, and played through my TV sound bar via Bluetooth. I am absolutely delighted- very simple to set up and pair and, more importantly, the sound is excellent (the old records sound magnificent). Please note that I am not an audiophile- I simply enjoy listening to classic recording and appreciate good sound quality.

It has cable connection, why don’t you do that? I use BT for convenience, but if you can plug it in you’ll get better sound.

Love this turntable so much. I got this with some 400 buck edifier bookshelf speakers and woofer. Perfect for me. My buddy said it's a great starter turntable. I was like Fuck that. I'm never upgrading. 😄😄😄 I'm satisfied.

This is my first turntable as I recently got more serious into collecting records. It's so simple to use, and I feel it sounds great for what it is. I may step up in the future for something better, but it having a built in pre amp is great since I don't have a lot of space. Would recommend over other entry level but good turntables.

Just hit 65 and bought a Sony PS-LX310BT to play my old vinyl and had new woofers put in my old huge speakers. Problem: A very small room and I love it LOUD. 11 o'clock on my receiver and I get a huge roaring feedback. Suggestions? Most of the platforms cost more than the turntable so I can't go there.

You shouldn’t get a ton of feedback, there will be a little feedback on just about every record player at a certain volume so if you’re listening to it extremely loudly, that could be the issue. Also, just make sure it is on a flat and stable surface. It could also be that the slight rumble from the speakers is causing a vibration for the turntable so if your speakers are located close to the turntable, maybe move them slightly away and see if that helps.

No but you can apply an audio technica at3600l stylus to the cartridge body. I did with mine and it sounds great 👍 👌 ☺️ It's basically the same as what comes with this model but it's good to know that you can change out the stylus easily and inexpensively with the AT3600L Stylus which is affordable and sounds great for entry level. I'm an audiophile and have better turntables but this is one of my favorites because of it being fully automatic. Enjoy listening to your records!

Just got this. Followed the set up instructions exactly. Placed record on turntable. Pressed start. Nothing happened. It just made a sound as though a motor was running but nothing happened. I don't know what to do now

Michael Molloy yes, I believe it is just a standard stylus.

@@NReluctant There is no such thing as "standard stylus". Every cartridge has it's own needle. Based on appearance and specs, this one APPEARS to be a rebranded Audio Technica AT-3601, which is largely used by many entry level turntables. If so, it's fairly common and cheap. As as rule, you MUST use ONLY the specified needle, unless you are 100% sure another needle is 100% compatible with your cartridge (AND turntable, if it has no user adjustments, like this one). If not, in almost all cases, it will not (phisically) fit; or you can damage your records.

The Bluetooth connection takes a while. It’s not instant. I’ve had it take as long as 2 minutes. I always recommend some Bose QC headphones because they automatically connect and skip that process once paired. If you fully remove it as a device tho you gotta pair them again.

You cannot change the cartridge. It is built in just like the AT 60X. There is probably a tutorial on the Sony site or You Tube about changing the stylus.

I looked into this for you and you can order a replacement stylus, it just Hass to be the Sony one made specifically for this turntable. To order a replacement you can contact Sony directly or find a reseller through their website.

It does not need calibrated, that is already done out of the box. This turntable is set up and ready to go, you can replace the needle but I would assume that all other replacement parts need to be ordered through Sony. Hope this helps.

Correct, you need speakers. Most turntables do not come with built in speakers. You don’t have to have Bluetooth ones for this record player but you do need speakers. I recommend the ones in the video. If a record player does include speakers built in they are normal very low quality. Hope this helps!

Make sure the switch on the back is flipped to the side that says “line” and see if it still happens after that 🙂

Hello from New Zealand! I'm looking at buying one of these in a weeks time. Are you able to plug it into a Sony 5.1 (or 2.0) amp that has some bookshelf speakers attached?

You will need speakers to connect it to or some type of bluetooth device like bluetooth headphones :)

I have this vinyl record but its like a little to slow and i have it on 33 and my vinyl is 33 but stil its slow so i send it back so they could fix it but they didn’t now i dont know what to do. Send it back get my money back and but a new one or get another one. Btw can you connect a soundbar to this

It does 33 or 45 RPM so it can do either. It can also play either 7" or 12" records, so it should be great for just about any record ever made :)

I have just bought this record player and I’ve paired it with an LG sound bar, however when I connect it with Bluetooth the sound is really quiet when it comes through my speakers, I have it selected to “LINE” and the output is on HIGH but it’s still way too quiet

I think you have to set it to "phono". If you try it please let us know if it fixed the issue.

@@nl___999 The stylus or needle is a crucial part of any cartridge because it is the part that rides on the record groove. In most cartridges, particularly moving magnets, the stylus is user replaceable, like this particular one. In moving coil designs, the whole cartridge needs to be replaced or sent back to the factory for re-tipping. The stylus unit is actually made up of three to four parts. The stylus itself is made of a hard material typically diamond, as in mid to high priced cartriges (like this particular case), or sapphire in the cheapest ones. As it touches the disc, submitted to high temperatures (something like 1800°F or 1000°C) due to the atrict forces, it wears out. This particular cartridge appears to be a rebranded Audio Technica AT-3600. Audio-Technica give approximate stylus life figures of around 500 hours for a conical stylus like this (circa 600 LPs played). But a well maintaned one can last until 1000 hours of use.
