The Sony RX100 V is the latest compact camera in the sony lineup. Building on the success of the RX100 IV, Sony has added a redesigned stacked sensor and DRAM chip. The camera now features 315 phase-detection autofocus points and supports continuous high speed shooting at up to 24 frames per second.
The RX100 series has been one of the industry standard cameras for vlogging and on the go shooting.

All about that burst!!! I'm not a big videographer BUT the biggest reason I got the RX 100V was the insanely fast 24fps burst mode! Can't wait to go to my first basketball or baseball game and really test that burst and AF speed to its full potential!

I'm not surprised the laser pointer didn't work for them on that extremely busily-pattered carpet. It's hard to follow on such a background. Should have used a solid color floor.

I have the RX100 Va, and I really love how small it is and how easy it is to use. Having that f1.8 to f 2.8 is great for portraits to. I also have a Canon 80D, witch is better especially the DR. That fast shot at 24 frames is actually really cool, it seems to give a retro like effect (like screens used to be with all different pictures really fast after eachother) I think its because of the small changes in auto focus and ISO

Does this camera offer a side timer as an option along with the video? I need when I slow down the video, I still can calculate the speed of movements for a certain scientific use. I hope it offers this option.

Good video, thanks. Just a question. In Manual, when I select Flexible spot (to move my focus around) then Shutter Speed is disabled. Apparently, I have not full manual control: Apertures, Shutter Speed, focus, etc. Is it because I don't know how to make work or a camera limitation? Thanks. :)

Hello, video is crispy and I like the colors. Could you tell which editing software and which settings for export to RU-vid. It seems like RU-vid hasn't ruined the quality. I am noticing lower quality of my videos in RU-vid compared to original export I made. Thanks

thanks for another detailed video! I was looking for a more handy addition to my GH4 and Zhiyun Crane/Joby setup. The recording limit on the RX100 is a bummer though. I know this might be out of your scope, but why not do a review on the Sony FDR x3000 for vlogging? I am seriously considering it, even though it's an action cam ....

I think I have the 2nd version of the RX100. I am definitely a point-and-shoot kind of guy. With the exception of its lack of zoom (3x is the optical max), I'm still quite happy with it. Does the RX V offer greater zoom capability?
