I have 2 controllers that I got back in April 2021. Had a 2yr warranty on both from Gamestop. Red one started drifting after 2 years (it is my main, and it's not noticeable) my white one is pristine. My red one only drifts because I have used it almost every day for multiple hours since April 2021.
Had my controllers since about a year after ps5 release & they sometimes get used 24 hours in a day with different people having a turn & they are still perfect & my 14 y o son isn't exactly gentle with em either
Im interested interested in upgrading, but i dont play games as much as i use too. Still love Sony, but they really gotta get off the pot and release some games, man.
I got a PC for now but can't rid of my Sony PS5, still luv it, however not gonna upgrade to the PRO it's not enough for me to be like I need this, gonna wait for the PS6. Not like they're gonna boost games to 200fps any time soon
4k 120 FPS. Is the console sweet spot. Why. Because that is the FPS of lg oled with HDR. Don't even think about getting a console because of the low FPS. But wow as the son says "shiny" Go back to pc gaming.
@Busterg128 I have all the consoles and PC with 32gb Ram on ddr5, aorus x670 and a huge steam library. I do prefer ps5 for a couple of reasons, like less glitches, somehow faster loading times and psvr2. I am aware there's now a pc adapter for psvr2, but holding out to see if pc would actually use all of it's features.
I'm not falling for the performance marketing again. More power doesn't mean we will get better gaming experiences. Until game developers actually focus on delivering better quality games, the extra power won't mean anything. They're still developing games that will run on older consoles, and their biggest focus is on microtransactions.
I just got my PS5 in October since i couldn't get one during the pandemic. And to be honest, there's not that many PS5 games that aren't just straight up remasters. And the backwards compatibility is so terrible. But yet sony is focusing on a console upgrade when many people like myself have barely gotten their own ps5.

Exclusive games come out maybe once every year, and thats if they aren't remasters, lol 4. There's 0 optimization or customization on the homescreen 5. They still haven't added communities back 6. The controllers are made out of dirt cheap plastic, making consumers have to spend more money on their controllers 7. They hardly ever release any significant updates for the current system There's definitely a lot more
@@OfficialJoeyTVthe ps4 pro didn’t improve performance, it improved graphical fidelity so games could hit higher resolutions like 1440p and checkerboarded 4k and have higher textures and overall improved. There may have been games that had performance modes but due to the weak cpu jn the ps4 pro it seldom ever hit anything above 45 fps, but I do recall times where the base ps4 did outperform the pro in some games when it comes to 30 fps targets.
Depends if they meaningfully power up the CPU too. Can have double the GPU power but if the CPU barely improves it won't have the capability to reach 120 or 144fps will just get higher resolution and some more flashy settings still at 30 to 60fps.
@@Bargatelooks like CPU will be the same. Just a stronger GPU with Sony's new upscaler. Honestly you don't need a crazy top end CPU if you're planning on running beyond 60fps, which doesn't appear to be the plan for 5pro
@@mikecheeze4312 Well yeah you don't if you're willing to limit frames but they will likely be paying a premium above 500 dollars. This is only for hardcore fans and those fans probably expect more experiences above 60fps and be disappointed when it doesn't do that.
I have a feeling that the 30th anniversary console will be sold during the holidays & the pro as well . which will make it extremely hard to even buy one because of asshole scalpers!
Not only do i have a PC but i built it during covid so it cost me 6 grand before I added a 4090. And i put about an hour in it. Because I refuse to waste my data cap on games or streaming anything. I will get a pro because I buy their new consoles. Boredom is not a friend to my wallet

Am I the only one who didn’t have a clue about the pro coming out until today? For me there are millions upon millions of games on ps5 and to me, in my eyes, they’re still releasing games that can be played on ps5. I honestly didn’t know there was a ps4 pro.
The ps4 pro and by extension the Xbox one x were answers to a changing market when more and more people were adopting 4k tvs so that gpu upgrade made sense. The ps5 pro makes absolutely zero sense from both a consumer and business standpoint.
One thing that’s annoying me is devs are taking longer and longer on releasing new games. Back in the ps3/360 days, there were multiple NEW games coming out every month. Not just remasters.

I never understood why people upgrade the same generation console, just wait till the new generation comes out… but it’s your money, spend it how you want to Since some of y’all are taking this WAY TOO SERIOUSLY…. It’s unnecessary to “upgrade” every single time a new edition of the same generation comes out
Well, you say that but look at all the people who claimed there was no reason to upgrade to the PS5 for the first 4 years, I bet most of them were either using the PS4 Pro or didn’t have a 4k television in the first place.
Idk about the ps5 pro. But the ps4 pro allowed for 4k gaming(heavily upscaled but still), that honestly did make a difference and it felt like a big upgrade overall. That said I personally will not be getting the ps5 pro.
I'm expecting PS5 pro to go quality mode with 60fps and the framerate mode to just be unlocked at 1080 or 1400. Just my bare minimum expectations which would be worth it to me
Likewise I dont want to tinker on the settings trying to get optimum graphics, it reduces my time of playing from which I have a limited time. TBH newer games should be more invested in the story because there's not much big leap in the GPU yet.
I will be getting a new pc in next 5 months reason is for fallout london, skywind and morrow oblivion all 3 new huge mods, we will never see on console.
My work is in Deep Teach Strategy projects. All I can is that where Sony is heading does not look bright. It is quiet similar to how they lost the TV market, when the competitors embraced Smart TV & LED screens. For Sony, they are doubling down on Hardware while the competitors even Nvidia has entered Cloud Gaming with price tags that are cheaper, better in quality, and providing a "Netflix" type of gaming experience rather than paying 80$ for a game that falls flat in quality. I doubt PS6 or Next Xbox ever come, or if they do, they will target regions with low internet speed which can not access cloud services.
There are a lot of people (including me) that will never get into cloud gaming or subscribing to play games. I love purchasing physical games and owning them. I miss going into GameStop and buying games.

Actually on the other hand, You could argue that since you never own that specific game, someone like me is buying collections right now, because I buy only the games I truly adored (i.e., Halo, God of War, AC Mirage, etc) One other its not about the gaming culture is changing, but rather its about these firms that are not hardware companies like Nvidia or Intel, stop pulling so much resource into failed hardware's that last only a couple of years, and instead put the money they demand and they endure on their game studios.. you see how harsh they are being closed down or changed PaytoWin online games..
The main reason I haven't bought a ps5 yet is the graphical improvement simply isn't big enough to spend that much money yeah sure faster loading 4k and ray tracing are cool but £600 no way that a lot of money for me the ps5 need's a price slash.
Too many people believe the PS5 hasn’t been tapped yet, it has. It’s only 10 teraflops compute power good enough for 1080-1440p without upscaling. The PS5 pro at 33 teraflops will even be more of a 1440p machine but with more visual candy on. There is no hidden untapped power in the ps5 it’s just not that powerful. It’s a fantastic machine for the price.
There’s no such thing as next gen games, they’re at a plateau in terms of photo realism. That’s why this generation is more focused on performance and higher resolution. Uncharted 4 is one of the games that still holds up and it came out it 2016
PS4 to pro was minimal. 5 to pro will also be minimal. If Sony was smart they would just sell an update kit to capture new and existing customers. But what do I know about hitting 100% of your base

Jimmy, I was watching a video from a few days ago. I just wanted you to know my PlayStation has never had an issue in rest mode for 10 years. But I've always had Verizon or Cox internet
I love my ps5 playing on a ps4 feels horrible. I would say the ps5 has limits and it shows when using in fidelity mode. I always put it in performance mode so I get smooth frame rates rather than better visuals. Hopefully the ps5 pro will handle both, if not I’ll wait for a ps6
I haven't had a playstation since ps2 and have been on pc since recently. I'm used to video settings. I look for it on my ps5. It only has performance and light balance 😂
With the pro, the developers damn well better make games run at a solid 60fps. If somewhere like gamestop offers a good trade-in toward it I might get it, but if the FPS is not guaranteed, then I can not say im interested in upgrading.
@@jamooo Yeah but we want an upgradable console that retains the easy plug-and-play console experience. No futzing about with drivers and scouring forums to figure out what graphics settings to use so that your game doesn't crash, etc. PC is definitely superior in terms of hardware and upgradability, but there are a lot more headaches than with console
I got the PS4 Pro, but it was my first console. I got it customised with an SSD instead of sn HD. I have a PS5 now. I won't get the Pro. I might get a PS6, but don't count on it.
inflation exist. i hate the idea of paying 80 dollars just to play console games online and a console costing more having a disc version. we should all agree consoles should always have a disc instead of stupid digital so we dont have to buy the game again when we can just trade it over with our friends physically. the pricing in this generation are ridiculous i can’t believe 80 dollar games are the norm like do you think people are getting paid more? i sh%t you not i see more homeless people these years more than when i was a child back than when shopping for groceries this console generation is freakin doomed if they don’t know how to lower prices tags of consoles and games.
Doubles power to frustrate. Unlimited automatic real time replay saves in Gran Turismo 7 should be a bare minimum, but you're artificially limited, it's pathetic and absolutely unacceptable. Long overdue to get up in arms about these unacceptable regressions!
Bro PS5 is not PC you can't just double the power mid generation in preexisting hardware... And if they actually did that still means you were scammed because you were sold un unoptimized garbage. I had purchased ps5 this month, I don't need ps5 pro as i have 2k 180hz monitor, if you don't have 4k 144Hz monitor, IT'S NOT WORTH IT so be happy Plus if u have ps5 , upgrade directly to PS6
